The flesh of the formerly living, generally. Plants, animals, it doesn't matter much.

I tend to go overboard.

My family makes a LOT, but I usually just end up having some turkey (dark meat), a roll, and maybe some casserole.

That sounds awesome. I want to come to your house for thanksgiving.

My family pretty much cooks all the traditional thanksgiving foods: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes etc.

HUmmmmm . . .

Usually Turkey and Ham with mashed potatoes and gravy. There will be some green bean casserole or asparagus, maybe salad.

ALSO Sweet potatoes/yams with some kind of sweet tasty sauce . . . usually brown sugar, butter and just a teeny-tiny touch of cinnamon and cloves. (anything more than a pinch is just overkill)

Another thing we have been doing is a standing rib roast or New York strip roast . . . basically Prime Rib style roasts...

Yummmmers

If Ma is feeling motivated, she will make a pecan pie or cheese cake to go with her pumpkin pie . . . . ala-mode. We have made chocolate tort as well...

ALMOST forgot...
two kinds of dressing..... MMMMMmmmmmm
