Hal sighed. "I'm a mercenary. I was requested to do some work here." He looked down to Ciren. "This is my niece. She refused to stay in the village where I told her she should... Trust me, I didn't want to bring her here either." He folded his arms, "However, if I didn't bring her she would certainly have tried to follow me either way. I'd rather know she's coming and be able to keep an eye on her."

She looked up at Hal nervously, "S-sorry..."

"She doesn't have any other family to stay with or anything, so I take care of her."

Luna glances down at the child now fully understanding the situation and why she was there with this man.
She then looked back over at this being in front of her, it's a little unsettling she had been watched the entire time and not know it, so he's clearly connected to whatever was deep within, must be a very good reason for it. All she could muster up was, "what is down below? what is you're connection to this place?"

Atronox let out a let out a bizarre laugh, menacing and frightening like a demon, yet light and comforting like an elf. "Well Mr. Mercenary be glad that her stubbornness caused her to not leave your side else wise I cannot say if you would have made it out of here alive." Atronox dropped to one knee and looked Ciren in the eyes, "As for you little one, there is no telling when those closest to you will die or no longer be around to care for you. It would be wise of you to begin learning how to fend for yourself. In this world, It's never to early, Especially considering your birth." Atronox could smell her vampire blood and knew that she was not guaranteed an easy life. Standing back up, Atronox settled his eyes on Luna, "Down below is my home beast girl, among other things, old things. Histories and Knowledge's lost the world outside. As for my connection to this place..." Atronox stopped for a moment, "It's been my home, teacher, and protector since I was young, It's poisonous bite is like fresh air to my lungs, besides, there is few other places in this world that provides such a haven for one such as myself."

"Ah..." Ciren went behind Hal, not very comfortable with the stranger looking at her straight in the yes.

Even Hal tensed up when Atronox had gotten down, closer to her, He looked down at Ciren then to Atronox. ",,, Ny apologies, She's very shy to people." He listened to the rest of what the stranger had to say and looked to him curiously. "Have you ever left here for any long time span?"

With nothing more to say, she decided to keep quiet and awaited for answers to the humans question. Luna eased up a little seeing that all they've been doing, for the moment was talk about this origins, and his words towards the vampire child. Still, this being is blocking their exit.

Atronox's closed his eyes for a moment and a slightly pained look flashed across his face for but an instant. "No I have not left here since I arrived which has been many many years. One day I may leave as I have unfinished business with a few groups of people." He stepped back from the group, "Now then, I do apologize for the fright I have caused to you.." Looking down at Ciren, "and especially to you little one. You are free to finish your business and leave at your leisure, though you are not free to venture any further, the poison is much thicker and stronger deeper in anyway, since my being here I have never seen anyone survive who goes deeper in. Now one last question for you all, What news from the outside world? Any and all developments are interesting to me, but I am most curious about a certain group of necromancers, whom you may have heard of... The dark circle?" Atronox stepped to the side a bit, so that the path was no longer blocked, but if someone did walk past they'd stray very close to him.

Unfortunately for her, she is unable to leave just yet, she needed to gather more of the materials she handed over to the man earlier. Of course, what they all do was clearly none of her business, but answering them would suffice, " I'm afraid I'll be sticking around her for awhile, collecting. Current events of the world-- The Dark Circle, of course if you know the tales of old, they are attempting once more to revive an ancient menace. Race is still an obvious problem for humans, they seem to not be able to accept anything beyond, elf, and dwarfs. It's a slow progress, I'm afraid. Werewolves, and Vampires becoming huge problems in this day and age, quite--- dangerous. There is many things I can say, although you're only interested in the Dark Circle." she sighed, and reached for her bag of materials on the ground about to continue her search leaving the three be.

Hal made a slight face when the mention of human relation with vampires was brought up. "Er... yes." He nodded finally and looked down to Ciren, then back to Atronox. "If it were an easy fairy tale there'd be heroes rising to stop The Dark Circle. However most of their activities although low, haven't been thwarted or attempted to be." He shook his head, "not that it's any of my business." He began moving on. "I have a job to finish and I need to get her to safety. Good day."

"Ah! Wait, ma'am!" He called out to Luna, "Thank you again! If I ever see you again I'll be sure to repay you for this!" With that he turned around and headed out with Ciren.

She looked back to her as well, "Thank you!!"

She was left with the unknown person, but gave a nod to the two as they left. Luna had things to do as well, and before the sun goes down, she had bowed to the strangers, then leaves to do her gathering. The topic about the Dark Circle had become something of interest, but the things said by thing unknown stranger got to her, it was something for her to do aside from wandering, it is a start, and hopefully something that'll fulfill the void in her boring life, not to mention to find that wolf pack that killed her family.

"I've been idle long enough, it's about time I continue my venture, perhaps of purpose." she said to herself. Luna nodded, going off.

After some time, she manages to gather enough of what she gave away, now was the time for her to head on back out to the field and find the merchant waiting for her at a set destination. Luna headed for the exit, glances back a bit, then leaves, meeting the person who lived there for gods knows was something that'll be left a memory perhaps, it was best that way.
She exits the Hive, and back outside into the open where the sun was still up. "great, wasn't as long as I hoped."

Hal and Ciren were a little ways from the entrance of the hive taking another break, they were sitting down. Ciren snacking, and Hal was reading a map, planning stuff. He looked over to Luna, "Oh you again, ah... I don't believe I caught your name."

Ciren looked over from her food and shyly waved. "H-hello..."

Luna looked over towards them the moment her she heard the familiar voice of the two she met not too long ago, surprised they didn't trend very far from the place. She stops a few distances from them, with bag in her hand, "...Luna." usually she'd skipped and not bother telling anyone her name, but since they seem less hostile then the people she's been meeting, it couldn't hurt. "is there some place you're looking for? or are you certainly lost?"

"Luna..." Ciren looked down, saying the name a few times to memorize it.

Hal nodded, "Luna then." He thought for a moment before responding them shook his head. "Not particularly. We're just going to head to the village near here to deliver these materials. After that we need to find a new town or something for work." He looked to Ciren for a bit then to Luna. "What about you? You seem like a traveler yourself, no?"

She looked down for awhile, then sighed, "I...wander, but what that being said back at the Hive, it just made me wonder. Since no one seems to be attempting to stop those foolish necromancers, I thought I'd take on the task myself. To give me some reason to continue my ventures, not just wander aimlessly." Luna stops fearing she might've said more then needs to be said, "I-- wish you two the best of luck, take care of the child. Especially if the hunters find out about her."

After Hal And Luna had finished talking Atronox slipped into the shadows and began to head to his residence deep in the Hive. "I likely should have killed them, but I've been growing restless recently... Hmm besides the fact is they provided me with important information and that deserves a day longer of life." Deep in thought he continued to walk home, "She was mostly correct that I mainly care about the Dark circle, after all I am quite intimately familiar with what kind of powers they're working with and to what end", He stroked his horns, "And frankly Vampires and warewolfs threaten me little, and likely wouldn't be much of a problem in general if the other races weren't so against them, I imagine that threat is largely based around vengeance and neither side knows who spilled the first blood anymore, it's just a part of their inherited nature and education... No the real threat in this world is The Dark Circle, and if there is no one out there willing to put an end to their scheme... well then." he let out quite a wicked laugh, "Well then the whole blood feud between the races of this world will end sooner than they realize, and there will be no victor, only decimation and total annihilation."

He got home, lit a fire, and settled into his chair with the book Merging and Utilizing Mental and Physical Alchemy, by Senvidor Kalagar. fingering through the pages of this book he's read a hundred times his mood began to sour... "What now? Sit here and continue to watch over an area that is perfectly capable of protecting itself, rereading everything I already know and practicing skills I am already intimately familiar with? Or leave my comfortable little hideaway and go get mixed up in the ways of the world?" He then ran a finger down his chest over a scar his father had given him long ago, "Maybe go settle an old score while attempting to save the world?" He let out a very cruel laugh, "Save the world? What did the world ever do besides try to kill me? No no I don't care about the races of the world, but that doesn't mean the planet itself deserves to be laid to waste because I hold bitterness toward those whom have done me wrong..." Letting out a deep sigh he stood up and put the book back on the shelf, "I don't seem to have much choice, stay here and slowly go mad, while occasionally playing with some poor soul who crosses my path, or go and kill my dad while seeing what other kind of tidbits of fun I can get into.. maybe I'll see if she's still alive too.. wouldn't that be something, after all these years would she even recognize me? or I her?"

It was decided, he figured he'd try to catch up with those intriguing individuals from earlier, since they too seemed as if they were coming from no place with no place to go and maybe they could go get into some trouble, or perhaps even more fun, prevent it. He gathered up everything he thought necessary, no books as they were all already in his memory, he got his largest herb satchel and filled it with as much as he could, he also gathered up most of his already made tinctures, tonics, and potions. Next he grabbed his three most prized possessions, the first a small round stone of a translucent deep blood red with inner swirling and specking of purples and black. Secondly an old obsidian dagger with a gold hilt inlay-ed with crystals that seemed to glow, he found both of these objects years ago in a hidden study deep in an old keep in one of the most remote parts of the hive, it was also there he found most of his books and while he never could prove it, he suspected that whatever it was that created the hive, had somehow originated there. And lastly He grabbed a large black cloak hemmed in purple with intricate gold and purple patterns running out from the focal point which were these ancient runes sewn with gold thread on the back of the cloak, He never had found a book with these runes in them so he had no idea what they meant. With all of his belongings gathered together, He put out the fire, left his home and began his journey out of the hive.
