http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/nationwide-protests-continue-obama-trump-strike-conciliatory-tone-n682176

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/11/10/not-my-president-thousand-protest-trump-in-rallies-across-the-u-s/

I'd say we're on Explosive Peak. Hopefully, we'll hit Exhaustion & Withdrawal by tomorrow. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that it will only get worse. Normally, anger wears down, but if this continues to intensify, then I'll wait for Obama to have "no other choice" except to declare a national state of emergency and declare martial law, suspending our constitution, and using this time to insert more police state tools designed to rob us of our freedoms.

Of course, it'll be Trump who'll get the blame. So, while Obama is working to make a "very smooth transition of power," on the one hand, the people behind the scenes (not Obama, he can't be directly tied to this), are sabotaging Trump's presidency before he's even taken the oath.

I'm saying this now, so that on January 20th, we can look back to see if I was right. I hope I'm wrong.

However, in 2001, when Bush Jr. introduced the Patriot Act and established the Dept. of Homeland Security, I said those were the seeds and foundation for a police state. Everyone laughed at me, then.

Now, anyone with eyes and ears can see that it is actually happening, gradually, but it is happening. When the NSA got caught, red-handed illegally spying on Americans, thanks to Wikileaks, Americans cried out in outrage, and demanded Obama do something to correct that injustice. What did he do? He corrected it, alright. He got Congress to pass a law making it legal.

Now we have the NSA legally spying on Americans and building a dossier on every American, with the help of the telecommunications companies. Microsoft developed Windows 10, which reports everything you do on your computer, and allows Microsoft to give all of your information to the NSA (read the EULA), as well as to businesses around the world.

So, you may laugh at me now, but we'll see how things are by Inauguration Day, 20 January, 2017. We'll see what kinds of freedom stealing "emergency laws" are passed by congress (yes, a Republican Congress), and "regretfully signed" by Obama before that date.

Explosive peak, exhaustion, withdrawal. Hmm. I don't think they're talking about anger.

You guys are comedians. It just escalated a little more. Grubhub CEO just issued a memorandum to his employees, that if they voted for Trump to resign from his company. Where will it go from there? Will we see other SJW corporations demanding Trump supporters to quit? Let's hope this is an isolated occurrence, and that no others will follow this very bad example...

*sigh* LAPD sure is busy tonight. The protesters are still at it. At some point, I hope they finally realize that their protests will not undo the election.

Catharsis theory is patently false

The more you "let it out" the angrier you get

Those people getting angry are just making themselves angry

https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/ulterior-motives/200909/you-cant-punch-your-way-out-anger

There is a general assumption that anger and frustration build up inside of us and that they can come to be let out in an energetic fury. Based on this metaphor, people often believe that they can prevent themselves from blowing up by letting off a little steam (to use the metaphor some more...). For example, you might issue a primal scream or hit a punching bag to release some of your anger. People assume that this process, called catharsis, is an effective way of allowing your anger to bubble over to the surface.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work.

The belief in catharsis would predict that people would be less aggressive if they had a chance to punch a punching bag after getting angry than if they had to sit and do nothing after getting angry. Instead, the opposite result was obtained. The people who punched the punching bag were actually more aggressive than the people who did nothing.

What is going on here?

Punching a punching bag makes a connection for people between anger and aggression. That is, it reinforces the link between being angry and acting in an aggressive manner. These connections between emotional states and behavior are an important part of what determines the way we act.

Apparently there are quite a few one-percenter nutjobs in SillyCon Valley.

(edit: ok the company isn't in SV but still)

Reference the news about California secession

As I've said, if they want to leave then they can leave by themselves- Don't drag the rest of us in the state into their insanity

Someone, with a shit ton of money, is paying for that. Someone with an agenda is organizing that. Someone with a plan to cause civil unrest, is paying for that.

Who, and why?

In my mind they are entitled to do that.

I fully agree there are organized protests.

Who: Not one specific person.

Why: These people have become possessed by a very destructive character/spirit.

A simple answer.

Eh, not quite destructive (in most cases), but there are alot of people frightened by Trump's campaign rhetoric. The electoral college failing to reflect the popular vote doesn't help that fear and frustration either.

the politcal spectrum is something like a circle if go far enough in ether direction sooner or latter you will reach the same place and currently i would say the main left groups in the USA and some other countries have done just that nd need get more moderation etc and less corruption and authoritarians in politics unfortunately most politicians are likely against that

Trump lost the popular vote by .3%, which isn't really much if you ask me.
