Serendipitously, with coincidental lineup of new GD threads, here may be one other reason not to consider it:

Worst idea I've heard in awhile. I didn't even know that was a thing.

I'm not sure why you want to be crippled for life, but there are better ways to deal with feeling inferior to others. Throwing refrigerators and pulling loaded freight trains with your teeth. You don't need to be taller to do that.

Maybe if you guys were in my body, then you'd understand the repercussions I face everyday. Having low self confidence cause I'm never good enough. I'm a bit fat right now in the pic above, and I'm short to put it to perspective. I mean, wtf. Why couldn't I have just been blessed as a giant like my boy at 6'8.

And deal with a weakened circulatory system and debilitating joint disease?

It's not worth the risk. Why do people think that changing their appearance is the answer to happiness? Most of the times it makes them look uglier. Like when I see those women or even gay men with lips injections, I'm just like, "You fucking look disgusting". Angelina Jolie's lips look great, because it's natural, but the ones with lip injections are disgusting, because it looks shiny and there's no wrinkle in the lips anymore, and it always looks like they've been stung by a giant wasp.

Unless you are transgendered or involved in an accident where cosmetic surgery is a need, then I would not recommend any cosmetic procedures. It fucks up your natural beauty.

Besides, you already look like a movie star dude, Josh Hartnett in pearl harbor come to mind, there's no point in being taller. You can't stand in a train properly.

If anything, I'd prefer to be this tall with some limited health concerns

than be the same height as most women nowadays. It's kinda pitiful considering how a lot of women are around 5'8-5'11. With heals, they're standing at 6'2-6'3

Thank you for the compliment. If I ever get to star in a movie, it'd be something like Project X

Do you live outside the wall or something? Where is this Land of Giants you speak of?

My college campus is relatively big. University of Texas in Austin. Like bro, 6'2-6'3 is like the average height here.

It'd probably save a lot of time and money to talk to a therapist or psychologist first.

Okay, when you HATE yourself because you think you're a "freak" for not being as perfect as you imagine yourself to be compared to imagined peer/media/social-acceptance images around you, and want to damage yourself pursuing it to unrealistic extremes you can never satisfy yourself with, that's officially Karen Carpenter Time. You'll find it in every textbook.
You may not be anorexically starving yourself, or getting freakish serial supermodel boob/lip/nose jobs like Jackson Family members, but you've got problems.

I'm not trolling you, I'm telling you--Call up and make that appointment on Monday, and I don't mean at the sports doctor.
In fact, go ahead, ask your professional about the leg-lengthening, and be absolutely sure to tell him why. And see who HE professionally refers you to, because there's a good chance he's seen a lot of your cases before.
