Do you usually say "shows" instead of plural for anime?

I use the word show and anime interchangeably but if I want to use the plural form of the word anime I will tend to say shows instead. Anime is a Japanese word and even though it is also an English word with a specific meaning pertaining to Japanese animation, it still maintains the property of being both singular and plural without changing the spelling. So in order to make it clear I am using the plural form, I just say shows instead. To me "animes" sounds corny and feels like I'm saying ani-mess or ani-maze.

Well if it's already clear I'm talking about anime then there's no reason to point it out. And series is another one of those words that is both singular or plural, ie "which of these 2 series do you like the best?" There's no such word as serieses or serie. Sorry I know, I'm a grammar nazi.

As far as I care, anime is an uncountable noun, so it's anime.

"Fish" is both singular and plural, as is also "deer." I consider "anime" as such; singular and plural.

アニメ comes from the word Animation. Since you can use the word animations causally the same should apply to the root word. As well, with it being アニメ and not あにめ or some various form of Kanji and/or Hiragana the word remains non-ancient Chinese and non-Japanese and thus not "bound" by Japanese language rules.

I use animes. I'm speaking English (even if using borrowed words the sentence is still in English) therefor English grammar applies. It's whatever sounds the most natural at that point.

If I'm talking about anime in an anime thread I'll just say show.

If I'm talking to friends or co-workers I'll say anime,
