Actually, only 2 people (last I heard) died in that massive earthquake. They were extremely fortunate that it wasn't much higher.
I'm not quite sure what you are getting at though... Did the election cause the earthquake? You revived a 2 day old thread just to make that statement?

The point is that everyone's so immersed in either stroking their egos about Trump winning or screaming about Hillary losing in the US despite is being like a fucking week now that they probably wouldn't stop to give a shit about this happening. Look at how polluted GE is with political threads in ratio to normal threads for gods sake.

CR just needs a separate political section like MAL so we can sift through and relocate the crap to another corner of the site. Life goes on as usual, the sun will rise tomorrow, people need to stop trying to bolster their own self worth by praising Trump for winning and acting violently because Hillary lost. The results are the results and there needs to stop being overestimating, underestimating, and preemptive online panic prior to the January inauguration.

I was disappointed personally with the results, but I had to go back to work the next day and act usually. There's no time to be sitting around and cowering in corners nor circlejerking that the Oompa Loompa will TOTES FULFILL WHAT HE PROMISED. People need to understand the concept of "wait and see", but we live in an era with a vast scarcity of patience. There are some things I am personally nervous about but I doubt that they'll be accomplished regardless.

TL;DR… Fuck this fucking election.

What I'm saying is that you are not helping by going off topic on a thread that's been dead for 2 days and posting about the very thing that you are sick of (politics) .

So I just figured I should let everyone know that the Red Cross is accepting donations to help New Zealanders with their current crisis.

https://www.redcross.org.nz/donate/november-2016-earthquake-appeal/

I encourage all of you who can to donate to helping our oceanic friends in their time of need. Let's show them that we care.
