60 quid a month for BT internet ( the Worst internet provider known to man ) because i live in the middle of nowhere atm, and BT are a bunch of bastards that scam the telephone lines to themselves.

my internet is capped at 350 KBs. and can go no higher. it is hell i assure you.

350KBps ? you have satellite internet ? -- it's the only service that can reach into those isolated areas

Is wireless cheaper? I mean they have wireless for mobile service, why not internet wireless for desktop?

wireless is a bit more expensive since it's more convenience-- kind of like DATA on your phone plan

but the speed is slower

i have unlimited data on my phone $50/month per line.. but the data cap is actually 23GB per month

the speed is pretty horrible on the phone though

i can' only watch 480p movies on it .. when switching to 720p+ it will have to stop and buffer so frequently that i'll not bother

Hmm, the problem really isn't about data transmission, but how the computer process the data, it's like a hose, you don't have enough water to transfer for a huge hose, nor can you drink it fast enough. Personally I think both wireless and ethernet should receive analogue signals, but that's just me. We got FM/AM radio for free but we need to set up wireless booths here and there just to get wireless internet, sounds like a pain, I mean we need to pay for the service either way, so why not just set up a really good wireless internet to begin with. It's the same way how cell phone receive signals, we never got an outside range for phone calls, so why is the internet not working as good? I think the hose is too small for this one

i heard that google optic is coming to the area .. but after 2-3 years nothing yet

I'm not sure if it's true, but I remember reading Google has ceased all expansion of its fiber services indefinitely (outside of places where they've already broken ground). As I recall they released a statement to the effect of "we've made our point" to internet service providers about improving their infrastructure.

Can't remember all the details but it's something like this: unlimited 4G about 16 €.

In US dollars, about $63/month for 150Mbps with 1TB data allowance.
