Most liberals love to exclude or dismiss anyone with ideas that don't agree with their own. Many seem to react out of pure emotion rather than logic. They get so worked up about perceived grievances against the special snowflakes that they don't mind trampling all over rights of the majority. I say let them live in that god awful, unfair, unjust, despicable alternate reality that they have created in their minds. They deserve to live with all the unhappiness and ugliness that they imagine in the world.

My aunt, who is a 70 something year old catholic woman was in support of Trump, and my cousin, her son, a Hillary supporter told her to go back to Poland. The idiot disease that has been flaring up over the last few days has infected my family. I will just say it now, I used to be a democratic supporter and liberal, but I am embarrassed now. I really had no idea that a huge portion of my friends were actually whiny crybabies who were only putting on a strong facade because things were going their ways.

No one should get thrown out of anywhere because of who they vote for. That kind of discrimination completely defeats the purpose of a democracy. You are basically saying, you have the freedom to agree with us.

The best way to judge a person's character is when they're under pressure.

I couldn't agree more. You know how much scrambling I'm doing right now?

At least last time I ran into these issues I could check the logs at my leisure, to see what was happening.

Now, I have to be super vigilant, take tons of screen shots, and hope I catch it all. Luckily, I'm not terrible at that, either.

It couldn't be that thread, though. I only say that because there are so many other pointless, and actually way more trolly, threads out there. Their creators are still around. Certainly PV wasn't treated with bias. Certainly.

I was banned for 2 weeks basically because some mod didn't like my tone. All I was doing was emulating the posting style of some of the left leaning posters here. Apparently it seems like you are only permitted to be snide, sarcastic and insulting if your on the left side of the political spectrum. When I brought this up, I was told that I should have reported them. That's what I've started doing to all the nasty posts they make (no I didn't report PV for anything, don't know what he did either). I don't know how many they act on though.

It's sad to say that I'm forced to be a tattle-tale now, but hey, that's their rules, so that's how I'll play. This is a companies forum and not subject to any freedom of speech laws or rights. After my experience, I've simply decided to cancel my premium membership and not give them any more of my cash.

True, they aren't forced to enforce freedom of speech, however, as a company with public forums, they also cannot legally treat one customer one way and another customer another way based on their political opinion.

Hopefully the moderation here isn't acting on bias - perhaps it'd be interesting to see some actual data to determine if one side is being banned more than another? Without such data, people are possibly only presenting their own biased view of who is being banned here.

On that note, my own view from the admittedly little forum browsing I've done lately is that there have been a number of people making posts that seem to have the intent of antagonizing people on the left that are already upset at how the election went. If people are making posts with the intent of provoking others, I don't think it is surprising to see moderators ban them in a perhaps overzealous attempt to maintain some level of peace.

Having said that, my own opinion, as someone with liberal leanings, is that much of those on the left have been overreacting to an embarrassing extent. Then again, I don't consider many of the liberals to actually *be* liberals; when you seek to silence the words of those you disagree with, you abandon liberalism.

So far as PV is concerned, I think he/she is usually not too bad about that sort of stuff, so I'm guessing he/she didn't really go too far.

This ban is, however, somewhat funny to me because I remember debating with PV over freedom of speech and whether people should be persecuted for saying things that hurt others. I believe I was arguing for freedom of speech while PV was arguing for moderation of speech. I guess you could say I appreciate the irony here.

Well it is an anime lounge. You know, it's about anime and stuff so we can talk about anime.

Like do you really need to fucking talk about politics? Seriously I would be there to relax, not hear some jack knob spout off about politics. I applaud them for kicking them out, they did everyone a favor.

Yeah, sure, but they aren't kicking out all offenders, only the right leaning offenders. I believe that makes it an entirely different story, now doesn't it?

No actually it doesn't. Go outside, or go to a fucking Bar, Or just go Online and bitch about it just like everyone else.

If they think it's bad to have certain people surrounding their lounge, Bye Bye! I swear if it weren't for this election people wouldnt know what to do with themselves.

I will tell you it is the right that gets banned more. Then again, you already broach the reason. The threads are all but to antagonize the left. It doesn't make a fun environment for half+ of the forums. I remember in aeons past, the CR threads used to be about fun and whatnot. Now it has just has a right-singing and left-crushing tendency. It is to the point if I don't do much browsing of the forums unless I am bored as hell and need to loose a bit of faith in humanity.

PV gets banned a lot, but generally it isn't for slamming others... Moreso for saying dubious stuff (imouto anyone?). The rest of the bans are generally for being a troll. I can think of two who fall into that category. Also, you talk about the left overreacting. It is the same as it was for Trump. The vocal minority are loud and the media clasps onto it. Drama pays, happy go lucky stuff doesn't. CAPATILISM!

I don't think as many lefts are rioting as the media would let you believe, just like how not ALL (not all, there are def a good bit) Trump supporters are racist/bible thumpers/etc.

Politics should be banned from the CR forums for at least a month. I would love to open GD and not see the first 10 topics about fucking politics that are all saying the same shit.
