For some reason, I'm not getting smooth playback when watching videos through the web browser on my 4k display. I don't have this issue on any of my 1080 displays. I have tried using both firefox and chrome, but both still had the issue.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to fix this?

I don't have this problem when using the windows app, but I've had other problems with it--which I will create another thread for.

So I just noticed this guy has had a similar problem.

In my case I'm using a desktop PC hooked to my TV over HDMI. Updating flash did not fix the issue though.

I've observed this same problem. Moving the window to my 2k monitor resolved the stuttering.

I am using a fully updated non-experimental chrome with flash plugin enabled. Windows 10 build 1607. GTX 980TI.

The stuttering appears to occur in all browsers, however, but only on the 4k monitor. And only on crunchyroll. It's quite annoying.

What's your refresh rate on the 4K display?

Netflix and YouTube both use HTML5 where possible. It's possible this is an issue caused by Flash.

Honestly I just want feedback from a staffer of some sort at this point. This is ridiculous. It's a known issue; it's been going on for many months; it affects anybody who wants dat 4k upscaled 1080p anime; and it's fucking annoying as shit because I have to bust out a separate non-4k monitor in order to watch anime at my computer.

Do you still have the same issue if you reduce your computer's resolution to 1920 x 1080 (while keeping the 4K monitor attached)?

Although I don't do it very often , I watch Cr occasionally on my 4k monitor . I haven't run into any issues and I also have a 980ti (2 actually in sli) . A couple of questions come to mind . First , what is your monitor refresh rate ? Second , is it hdmi 2.0 ? Third is your hdmi cable rated Hi-Speed ? Some less expensive monitors are only [email protected] . Hdmi 2.0 gives 60hz support (as well as HDCP) or as Linus Tech Tips calls it S.H.I.T compliance . Did your monitor come with the hdmi cable or you used an existing one ? It must be HI-Speed rated & 2.0 to get 60hz . Last is drivers . That's all I can think of right now myself ...

I just tried episode #7 of FlipFlappers as a test for you . Show streamed just fine for me on my 4k monitor. I know that doesn't help you but it did work fine for me . Is it any show in particular ? I'll try it for you if you want .

Yes, I do.

If it's playing on the 4k monitor, there's an issue.

Similar quality issues have reported for years, and CR staff have rarely responded (except to gaslight) for years.

Any chance it's related to this 2015 thread?
