What's so awkward about that? Unless we're talking about ecchi or hentai.

I ride the train to work and back home. I watch anime with my earbuds on. Sometimes people sit next to me. And sometimes, unexpectedly, fanservice happens. I always quickly look around and 'hope no one saw that.' Then I'll watch something else, and hope no other fanservice happens while watching.

Not really, I watch anime on my laptop or on my phone where I can hide anything that pops up.

But I don't really care so I'll watch anime in public.

It's not so much anime as it is comedic timing. It's when they walk in at the worst moment. I turn around and explain things in exaggerated detail or use certain motions to turn it around until it becomes my own fucking comedy.

This isn't limited to anime. For around three years I had perfect awkward moment comedic timing where someone would walk by in the worst spot of a conversation that could be misinterpreted. I actually loved it because it made them feel more awkward than me as I would shift gears and go for broke. I also learned how to pressure people in the process by developing a knack for awkward silence and interaction in an attempt to maximize the pain/cringe in getting what I wanted.

Only really worked on guys though.

Nothing really lol. I just told him it was actually good and he was just like "ok" and walked out.

Everyone who can possibly catch me on my room watching anime, knows that I watch anime and sometimes even the weird ones. So I will probably will have to say no. I don't hide the fact from anyone close to me.

Why's that embarrassing? You like it. That's cool, having interests and all, right?

I say be confident because anime isn't embarrassing.

It's only embarrassing if there's something inherently WRONG with doing it. There isn't, so no worries, mviii.

Unless you're Amish and think cartoons are of the Devil. Then, you'd have more things to worry about than being embarrassed, anyway

Otherwise, don't let others' perceptions influence your own.
