Not sure how many fellow Berserkers roam here on the CR forums but i've seen a bountiful amount as of late!

Anyway, this thread is on the new Berserk game that came out as of recently in Japan, and has yet to come out in the U.S. as well as most/all other parts of the world. Is anyone getting it/has it?

It seems great, and is great from what i've heard. Keeping in mind that it's a Musou, made by the Dynasty Warriors company. It seems to follow the story closely and has tons of cinematic footage.

On my end, I pre-ordered my copy of the game already and am excited for the DLC's.

I'll get it but I don;t hold high hopes for it being amazing, it looks just like Samurai Warriors with a Berserk paint job. I still want it but after seeing the mechanics it has made me put it low on my list of games I want.
After Samurai Warriors i'm pretty burnt on Hack n Slash for a while.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from and I have had some of these similar thoughts, but from what I hear it has gotten good reviews! Also, for those who are real fans of the golden age arc and story are in for a treat, however if its complex game mechanics and tons of game variation? I'm sure its not full-fledged in that department.

Well Samurai Warriosd also got good reviews and it's a awesome game but even Samurai Warriors can't be played for extended amounts oif times and what I have seen of Berserk looks the same waves and waves and waves of enemies as you cut through them all.
I do like that I can pay Griffith though I would be annoyed if I had to play Gatts the entire game like every other Berserk game.

I love Berserk and Musou. This should be no-brainier for me.

But after watching the gameplay trailer, I don't know. Combat looked uninspired. I haven't really done a lot of research on this yet, but it's on my radar. Beside I still have One Piece PW3 & Hyrule Warriors to complete.

As much as I love Berserk, I'm gonna give this one a miss. I'm pretty burned out on Musou games and I feel like this would've been better suited as a more focused hack 'n slash Platinum-style game.

Totally buying this.. I've been hooked on the Musou games since Samurai Warriors 2 (though I prefer Samurai Warriors over Dynasty Warriors).

After work I prefer to play games where I can just enjoy the experience as opposed to having to think and pay attention

The only musou games I've ever enjoyed were Hokuto No Ken and One Piece, but I'll definitely be getting the new Berserk game. The gameplay looks so true to the gore and violence of the anime.
