Or is it the fault of society or upraising? I wish i could be Sean Bean. He played a good role in Goldeneye.

Just to take one example of the typical you can spot a cowardice person. Or well you also have lazy people too. And you have mean spirited people (Like me i think which i am sorry )

I think people that are cowards have had something happen to them that makes them fear trying anything new or different.

Probably a regret over some past event

I can be a bit of a coward when it comes to pain. I don't think it's anyone's fault really. I just don't like it, so I'll avoid it if possible.

I suppose I'll be the oddball and say yes, we're born cowards: The natural human state is to fear the unknown, to shy away from anything that might threaten our continued existence.

We overcome most of our fears primarily through experience. For example, many children are afraid of the dark, but not as many adults are because experience has taught them that it can't actually harm them.

To quote Mark Twain, "Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear." Since we aren't born with a mastery of anything (even our own bodies: had to learn to walk, and not wet the bed, didn't you?) I would argue it's courage that's the learned behavior and not cowardice.

Here's a way to look at it, we are all born with the capability to be a coward and will be a coward in way or another. We all have things we fear and that is fine. Not everyone needs to be on the same page on everything.

I get scared most of the time, but I more often than not choose to be brave and stand up for what's right.
