After years of not speaking, waving or doing any sort of communication now would be awkward.

I only really talk to one of my neighbors since our kids are friends, but otherwise we keep to ourselves.

We wave to each other and occasionally say a few words.

they're cool but they have a couple small dogs that are outside all the time and they're annoying as shit. Cue the high pitched yaps any time I leave/return

I'm okay with most of my neighbors except the people living directly behind us. I hate their guts.

Their back yard is big, with a huge sloped area that's almost a 45 degree slope, 100 feet or so up, that then ends their property boundary at our fence on top of that slope. They fcking called gardeners to climb up that treacherous slope to remove my grandma's veggies and vines and stuff from our fence. The fence we built twice and they never paid for. You buffoons never paid a cent for this fence and it's our property, why the HELL are you removing our plants?

They told me the plants on the fence were obstructing their view. Of what? Our house? Since that's all you'd see, anyway, after the plants are gone?

Grandma also caught them a few times sneaking up the slope to steal vegetables from the fence plants that grew back. Our dogs obviously bark when weird people climb up the slope, and they threatened to call animal control even though our dogs were on our side and they had no business being there. Filthy mainlanders.

God, I hate them so much. I want to kick them down that slope. Why can't you just be regular, sane, decent goddamn neighbors like everyone else.

I say nothing to my neighbor other than a hello or goodbye. I just mind my business and leave them alone.

Can't you file a police report if they come into your property and cause damage?
They sound like a bunch of cunts

I try not to involve police or law for minor things. I am tempted to, since JFC but, still, it doesn't seem worthwhile to have law enforcement come over and potentially further sour the neighborly relationship.

Thanks. I tend to post a while, and then disappear, maybe lurk a little, and re-emerge later, haha

Neighbors are suuuppeeeer nice! And I'm not exaggerating. When my family moved into the neighborhood a few years ago, a majority of the block came to introduce themselves. Everyone hangs out, drinks some beer, sometimes get wasted, every so often when we're not busy with life. We actually just got together and barbecued this past saturday lol.

Basically everyone is super fucking nice and I can rely on anyone if I ever need help.
