One time I tried an energy drink called AMP back in the day, it tasted like crap. I don't recall having some kind of reaction to it as that was about ten years ago, but that would be the last energy drink I would ever have. I just drink coffee in the mornings.

Your mom is wise & not stupid. They're very unhealthy, even more unhealthy than traditional soda drinks. I mainly like to stick to water anyway, I like to keep my teeth as white as possible instead of a gross stain filled, yellow color.

Monster and its various flavours tastes like drinking more than one a week might kill me. Relentless and its various flavours at least don't taste like the result of some chemical beverage experiment... Or at least not to the extent of Monster. Even so, I'll have maybe one or two a week, if that. I drink 'em when I drink 'em. More often than not, I don't.

I mean, I'd put a limit on just one in a day (and I made sure not to say one a day, because drinking them daily sounds like a good way to screw with your health), and then I don't think many of those issue would be of much concern.

There are variety of energy drinks out there. I have took a liking to Relentless energy. In terms of taste it is not the best taste, but it gets me through the day. I only drink it when I need to of course. I find myself more productive drinking energy drinks for some reason. I know a lot of people who prefer coffee, but I can't stand the taste of coffee.

Not a fan of the feeling it gives me or the taste.

I drink them for the flavor, they do nothing for me otherwise.

Also a funny energy drink spoof if anyone's interested; Powerthirst.

The only "energy drink" that I recommend is switchel. Originating in the 1800's, the base ingredients of switchel are; vinegar, water, and ginger. Lemon juice, oatmeal, maple syrup, brown sugar, honey, and sugar are common additions. The taste is comparable to a spiced and tangy apple cider.

I don't care for the taste and ingredient lists of more modern concoctions. Well, those of what I've come across thus far.

My choice is fairly "hipster," but it's more safe than most out there, and can easily be whipped up at home.

Been cutting back on energy drinks for a while now. I still drink one or two every so often but like a lot of other's have already mentioned, they're pretty bad for you.

I have a heart condition and need a pacemaker to regulate my heartbeat, I used to drink energy drinks until the nurse who checks my pacemaker every year found out and gave me a bit of a bollocking lol and told me how dangerous they are...for everyone not just folks with dickey tickers. So now I no longer drink them.

When i was in junior high, i used to drink slight amount of it with my friends. After i started to study however, i stopped. And nowdays, i haven't done that in few years.

End of story.
