Some bills and change here and there, usually not more than 40 at a time. I barely use cash, Interac is the way to go--accepts anywhere including cabs and vending machines, with no minimum.

Nothing is stopping me from paying with cash. I just choose not to.

If I know I'm going to a bakery, or the farmers market, auto shop if I have someone I trust I will pay cash. Just things like that really. I never see the point in carrying cash, but it does give me a sense of comfort knowing that I can just pull out $40, break a bill for change, you know the normal way of doing things.

Other than that I'm just using that tap method

Not more than $100 in cash, the rest on my card. I lose things relatively frequently so more than $100 would hurt.

None unless I want something. I'm not taking my money if I'm not gonna buy something and it's less likely to be stolen that way

When I am close to depleting my cash, I take out $300. So, I usually have around $20-$320 on me. I pay in cash for most things.

I hardly ever carry cash (I prefer to pay with my debit card). The most I've had on me in the last year is probably $200 to $300. The exception to this was when I went to Seoul, South Korea as well as Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo in Japan. Had to make sure I had lots of Korean Won (₩) and Japanese Yen (¥) on hand.

I remember when a hundred bucks on you would basically guarantee not going to jail for the night unless you murdered someone

war on cash is crazy, look at what's happening in India

This is all to force people into the trackable electronic system

Banks are obsolete in this day and age, people just havent realized it yet. They are useless middle men parasites.

I carry about $20-$40 on me.

I'm not worried about getting robbed anyways, cuz I have an invisible bubble and any stranger who comes into it gets stabbed with a mechanical pencil.

I was told to start carrying some extra cash in my wallet after going to couple places with buddies who didnt accept cards. Also makes it easier when everyone pays cash. So been trying to carry around $40 to $100 in my wallet at a time.

$20 or $30 dollars, in case someone tries to rob me I can whip it out and throw it and run. Chances are they'll go for the money over me.

£5-£10, it doesn't make sense to be taking out my card for small low cost items. Some local shops even have a sign saying that you must spend at least £5 if want to pay by card. It cost little independent shops more to process payments so they'll go for what is most cost effective. Fruit and vegetables for a few days cost £2-£4 from the local greengrocer. I've never used a card for that.

Unless I'm going somewhere I know requires cash, I only really carry around a few coins in case I need to get a shopping cart or forget my bus pass at home.

$1-3 USD cash plus pocket change. Everything (almost) is electronic now (debit / credit cards). Use an aluminum tinfoil-lined wallet to fend off scanners reading the few cards I carry on person.
