I love grilled cheese sandwiches and I am pretty much a sharp cheddar man myself

What kind of cheese do you like in your grilled cheese?

Sharp cheddar is best for grilled cheese however I do like swiss from time to time.

Back to the topic at hand, there is no best cheese. If the cheese is considered cheese then the cheese will be good for grilled cheese.
The only exception is Casu Marzu. Don't google that.

Fun stuff. Food coloring added to cheddar shreds before lining them up in a pattern on the bread. I've also seen each color with different flavors (e.g., sundried tomato, basil, etc), but haven't tried those flavored ones yet.

mild sharp white cheddar + mozz

but I cant really remember the last time I ever made a grilled cheese, there's like 9000 other things I'd make first.

Classic kraft sIngles, or old Fort cheddar, even mozzarella is good to. There must be ketchup, or it doesn't count

I almost always use a sharp cheddar or white cheddar and sometimes a pepper jack. However there are so many awesome cheeses out there that make great grilled cheeses I'd be hard put to choose only one.

However, my personal preference for a grilled cheese is a sourdough bread, and if you can actually get some Salt Rising Bread is the best bread to make grilled cheeses on EVER.
