I think that it car insurance rates should be equal for the sexes. It's just that it should be the drivers themselves who determine what their rates are based on their behavior and driving records and while men have the tendency to get into more accidents, that's also because they drive more. Anyway, men are more likely to get sidetracked and do dangerous maneuvers, while women are less skilled at driving, so those things sort of cancel each other out as far as paying the same for car insurance rates. Of course, that's more of an unsubstantiated generalization, but in the end I think it shouldn't come down to that.

There's usually a significant drop for men when they hit like 25 or something like that.

I'll say this much, I wasnt doing 150mph on my crotch rocket after 25, but before 25, I'd do it 3, 6 times a week just to blow off some steam.

shit, I drove a hundred miles an hour all over the place when I was 18-23 or so.

eventually.........you mellow out.

in my experience, guys are more likely to drive crazy.

women are more likely to drive distracted.

seen more women in accidents than men, hands down by a good margin, though...

Gender profiling by insurance companies was ruled illegal in Europe a few years ago. We now get profiled based on profession and whether it is a male or female dominated industry.

It used to be the other way around but now younger men pay more. Regardless if you are male or female if you are under the age of 25 you are going to be paying more. It is fair no, but this is the proper way of doing it.

I work in insurance claims.
The women who call me are usually involved in small auto accidents. Usually the damage is to the front and rear bumpers.

Men on the other hand are involved in more serious and expensive accidents. I had a guy once who caused an accident that involved 6 other people.
Men also damage thier cars when they try to load stuff on their cars.

Which is fine as long as health insurance rates are decided in the same manner.
It becomes quite hypocritical when the government says we need equality for health insurance prices, but not car insurance prices.

Either make sex a factor in both or neither. That is my only problem, seems like there is only so called equality when it fits a certain political agenda.

Good luck with that.

Just because we have Dicks we have to pay more. Men cause more accidents because they are full of Testosterone and anger, bad for the environment.

I'm pretty sure most men have vaginas now anyways, so maybe they should keep it the same.

Men drive a lot more often than women. Young men can be pretty reckless, but even if they weren't, men would still wreck more often than women just because they spend more time on the road.

But a vast majority of people are born with two chromosomes. Males have an X and Y Chromosome, and Females have two X chromsomes.

Edit: I mean two sex chromosomes
