I just imagine that what I tell people will be broadcast throughout the net an on TV and radio. So I only tell people what I'm comfortable with the whole world knowing

I share info I deem useless or unimportant. When it gets to heavier stuff I clam up pretty tight. If I feel overwhelmed I might say a little to a few people, I rarely like one person knowing a ton about me.

Small talk I manage, but personal stuff and heavy topics need more established relationship.

I'm pretty open with my information. Even stuff most people keep hidden online.

I mean, other than my SSN, phone number, and address, I don't care.

I always tell people a lot of stuff about me easily, maybe because I'm a guy, maybe I just don't mind people knowing, maybe I'm too trusting for my own good

Eh, I have a small group of 4 or 5 friends, plus family I can share more private/important stuff with. Other than that, prefer to keep to myself, life's simpler that way.

It usually just happens when I get doxxed, or naturally over time otherwise.

A few thoughts on this...

1. "3 can keep a secret if 2 are dead." Never tell anyone anything you don't want others to know.
2. Stuff that's mildly incriminating makes a great litmus test. Either they judge you on it, spread it, etc. or they don't.
3. That said, pride isn't my sin of choice. It's very hard to hurt someone that doesn't care how they're viewed. Of course, while being the polar opposite, this often gets mistaken for arrogance.

I'm the type of person that doesn't have much to hide, I've always been candid, to the point of making other people uncomfortable. I'll take about the taboos (salary, religion, politics, philosophy,..etc) and my personal life (everything from my mother being murdered to some of my crazy ex-girlfriends). I don't really feel the need to not disclose something about myself. I'm not so important that secrets would protect me, I'm not so sensitive that judgment of my life/views/thoughts will bother me.
