Most of those new shows look pretty cool!

Since I don't know what they have off the top of my head I looked at a listing, these looked interesting:

First off if any of these that I don't know have a lot of sex-stuff or nudity just cross it off (some more mature and subtle stuff is fine just not a lot or in an annoying way)

.hack//sign
Akira (I never did get to see the end of this)
Basilisk
Black Butler (definitely!)
Casshern Sins (only saw bits of it)
Claymore? (isn't this popular? the description didn't say much)
Code: Breaker
Code Geass
D.Gray-Man (come on, you have part of it)
Deadman Wonderland (yay)
Death Parade ? (the page just said error though...)
Devil May Cry
Darker than Black ? (I only saw the description for the gemini one though?)
Dimension W
End Ride (saw some of it)
Ergo Proxy ? (again not much of a description)
Fractale
Freezing ? (not much on this one either)
glass fleet ? (not much to go on, it looks cool on the cover but neither cover nor description are helpful sometimes)
Guilty Crown (I've heard too much about this not to want to see it)
Gun X Sword ?
Hellsing
Jormungand
Karneval (yes)
King of Thorn (saw the movie)
Murder Princess ?
Nabari no ou ?
Noragami (definitely!)
Phantom Requiem for the Phantom ?
Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace
Samurai Champloo
Servamp (saw this mentioned somewhere before)
Serial Experiments Lain
SoulEater (definitely!)
Shigeru Death Frenzy ? (is there substance here or just violence? cause even violence can get boring without good plot and characters)
Shiki ?
Space Dandy (funny series)
Spice and Wolf (definitely)
Texhnolyze ?
The Devil is a Part-Timer (definitely)
Future Diary (liked the drama on here)
Tokyo Ghoul
Trigun (yay, though I wonder if I outgrew it a bit like with Rurouni Kenshin, the pacifist-like main character can come off more annoying as you get older)
XXXHolic
Yu Yu Hakusho (yay)

While you're at it, how about the Nanoha titles Funi is sitting on?

What Nanoha titles?

They at one time had the first two series via their distribution deal with Geneon, but that deal expired a long time ago.

Ah, my info is quite out of date, then. And I could've sworn Funi got Vivid a few seasons ago (not the current Vivid Strike), but I see no record of that.
If it's all up for grabs, then I hope it gets licensed again.

When you say UK and Ireland, is that including any other parts of Europe as if this were a generalization for English speaking countries - considering all the included are English speaking countries? Any word on whether Germany is included in that?

My soul is broken I was expecting a lot of arslan, and it saddens me not to see it in Latin America. It was me and I who believed that the partnership with us began to benefit others.

Funimation don't tend to pick up rights to Latin America. On the one hand this means that Funimation haven't been stopping your countries from having these titles available to you (that role instead was filled by those Americans who threw a hissy fit back when CR tried to pick up rights to territories that Funi didn't) but on the other hand it means that you're unlikely to see much (if any) gain from these announcements.

I literally just now finished Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 episodes in 8 weeks is crazy fast for me, too addictive). Since both sub and dub were available, I enjoyed alternating language every episode. Every bit of it was great.

But there was one thing that bothered me: could we please NOT have yellow subtitles again? Funimation is great, but they have favored yellow subtitles in the past as well and I assume this is a part of why we had it here (initially I assumed they were hard-subbed). Sure yellow on black is highly visible and readable, but it's also too massive of an attention-draw. Its hard contrast is a constant reminder of how much of the screen is obstructed with the opaque overlay.

Aside from that concern, I'm entirely excited for these. They shouldn't really be a surprise, and yet I'm hugely surprised. I will have to change my habits to allow more time for watching anime, it is necessary.

Finally we are seeing the results of that Funi partnership. I've seen four of these already there, and I'm not much for rewatching, but if I were, these would be top candidates!

I'm salty that my Funimation subscription renewed for the year just before this partnership was cemented

A few of the series I was watching on there are now available here so I won't really be using their service much, if at all.

Ah, well if you'd had their sub-only subscription they would have just canceled it for you and right now you might be grumbling and trying to decide if it's worth resubscribing for a couple months just to watch latest full episodes of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K on Roku. (It's the only show that continued into Fall that I had any interest in.)
