Is it time yet for the president to label Black Panthers and their affiliates terror groups?

Pretty sure it's not confirmed if he really is a black panther.

What, is there like some kind of initiation ritual or something?
If he said he was, that's all that matters.

It is possible he was a part of the New Black Panthers, an attempted revival of the old one based under antisemetic and violent militant roots.

Going to have to pause a minute to ask if you're really sure about that last part. If they say they are (member of group), that's all that matters. And, by implication of your opening post, we should assume an act by a claimed member of (group) means that we should label (group) as terrorists.

I mean, insert Black Panthers there as "group" if you want, I just want to be sure I'm understanding you correctly.

Honestly they are terrorists imo just like black lives matter, they've both had terror attacks committed in their names.

So yeah, claiming to be a part of a group and attempting to terrorize people doesn't exactly make that group look good.

Oh, I agree. It certainly doesn't make the group look good. I'm just trying to point out the broad brush you're painting with, and how much you're picking up with the "if I claim I'm in the group, the group is responsible" type rhetoric.

It's true that it doesn't look good for the group if people believe that the individual is acting as part of or on behalf of the group, but it still doesn't mean the individual is really part of the group, or even if they are, that the group is necessarily responsible for the actions of that specific individual or supports their action.

I can claim to be one of Santa's elves, and then go around stealing people's Halloween ornaments because I think they dilute the Ho Ho Ho message that comes with the one-true-joyous season celebrated with Xmas ornaments. But that doesn't mean everyone should declare war on Santa, or be terrified when they see anyone wearing elf and santa hats.

.

True, but when you have the very same group of people supporting and calling for action (aka assault, murder, terror etc) then you don't really get to say 'we don't support their action'.

Why isn't every single chapter of the KKK on a terrorist list? They have been doing this shit for years and the public has turned a blind eye to it

Because the actions of an individual do not represent the group apparently.
But seriously, the KKK has been nothing but FBI plants for decades.

Well of course action of individuals don't represent the group.

Can't go around killing people in the name of the CR forums by myself and expect people to label the CR forums as a hate group.

Individuals? You do understand hate and terror are their core beliefs?
It's funny the word terrorist seems only to apply to minority groups while white groups are called freedom fighters or such nonsense. A terrorist by any another name is still a terrorist
