There's nothing more patriotic than protesting
That's how this country was founded

sometimes the best way to "heal a division" is to cauterize it

yet these "americans" aren't becoming a separate country, so they are "rebelling" against...what exactly, a election they lost? it happens every 4 years

also damaging the American flag is considered treason under law, it baffles me how they aren't locked up

wow, this Jill Stein recount garbage...

its amazing how it was raised so quickly, and the pace of the donations was even and constant even though the night. even in the 3-4am timeframe, same pace as 10-11, same pace as earlier in the evening. perfectly consistent 160,000 an hour the whole time.

nah nothin fishy there

Michigan's already paper & certified, if they flip that, it is 100% fraudulent.

amazing that this is still on the source code on hillary's page....it has been there this whole time/...

The reason they aren't locked up is because of the 1st Amendment.
I fly the flag and I think it's ridiculous and dangerous to jail people for burning the flag. We would be as bad as Saudi Arabia who jails people for burning the Koran.

A vital part of the American government under the new constitution is the peaceful transfer of power.

Especially when the federalists lost to the democratic republicans in 1800 despite holding much of the government at the time.

then according to your views we should abolish the law that is already in place that states it is a punishable crime to do such a thing

also the 1st amendment is freedom of speech, not expression

It's not treason. The laws against destroying/defacing/dishonoring the U.S. flag were rescinded some time ago as a breach of constitutional rights under the First Amendment. You can burn it, drag it in the dirt, fly it upside down, etc. as long as it's your flag/your personal property. They could, however, be jailed or fined for an uncontained/improper burn by local ordinance or state law.

Have a look at Texas v. Johnson (1989), wherein the Supreme Court determined the act to be "symbolic speech" protected by the First Amendment.

The Supreme Court decision during United States v. Eichman made those laws invalid.

If there is a bedrock principle underlying the First Amendment, it is that the Government may not prohibit the expression of an idea simply because society finds the idea itself offensive or disagreeable.

in any case, this was about uniting, not dividing lol and any way you look at it, what these people are doing is not uniting us, whether or not the law protects them is a different case
