you think that noscript and adblock combined with my purposeful disabling of as many tracking features as i can, as well as the disabling of google search history & forcible search tailoring, would prevent that!

I use incognito browsing when I'm trying to do multiple things on the same site through different logins. For example, some of our clients at work tend to require me to handle multiple environments using the same login server/system; however, when I try to make changes through their web portal on two different services under the same browser (but different tabs) it gets confused and applies the updated configuration to the other tabs' sessions.

Outside of that, I don't see many purposes behind either mode. Your ISP can still track whatever you search, Google saves it to your account if you're logged in (which would be stupid to do while incognito, but I've seen it happen), and there's not much secret online in general.
