Cuteness, one of the traits that is valued by many citizens of the Western world. It is a concept that has mostly been associated with women. However, it is not unlikely to see a girl call a guy cute or adorable, especially in recent years and among the younger population. Lately, I have been thinking a lot about my behaviour and the way people perceive me. That has prompted me to create this thread. I am certainly not going to let others influence me to a degree where I lose sovereignty, but that doesn't mean it's a bad idea to adjust some of my traits in a manner that would be beneficial for all parties involved.

What I would like to know is what you think of when you hear the word "cute". What is your take on the word's meaning and definition? Are there any people that you interact with that you consider cute or adorable? And last, but not least: what is the relationship between the terms cute and intelligent? Are they mutually exclusive? Which other trait do you often associate with the trait of being cute?

1.My definition of cute is "Things that I find cute."
For real though, something something cuteness is subjective. For me it happens to be things that are fluffy/soft most of the time. Exceptions like Rikka in my profile pic aren't rare though.
2. I don't find any of the people I talk with cute. In fact I find most of them ugly (I love you, my brothers )
3. Is there a relationship here?

I think there are two types of cute, 'adult' cute and 'small' cute. Adult cute is when you see a pretty girl with a nice smile, you like it for slightly different reasons. While the other cute, is when you see small things with specific traits. Usually mammals, small, goofy, big eyes, innocent look, and whatever else. To me that is the definition of small cute. And about the intelligence part, I guess you can't find something cute until you have a certain level of consciousness.

When i think of cute I think of birds, cats, and dogs. Cute things are fluffy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or as uncletim says.

As a guy I don't like being called cute <_<;; It just seems wrong somehow.

Something with possibly small, delicate, fluffy, features or even overall warm appearance/sound
