Rudy Giuliani?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudy_Giuliani

Mitt Romney?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitt_Romney

(EDIT: I picked the above web links, semi-randomly. I didn't read what the links say, except that the subject matter are the two guys at the top of the short list for Secretary of State.)

I hope he picks Rudy.

I never liked Romney, and I don't trust him. He would likely work to sabotage Trump's aims around the globe. Romney is a globalist. I really hope Trump don't pick him.

Giuliani has been a strong supporter of Trump and believes in Trump's ideals. I trust him to support Trump's aims around the globe. I really hope Trump picks him.

Everyone else? What do you think?

McCain has another 920 years left in him, so 80 is just him getting started

I do not like the idea of Mitt Romney, he was the first person I've ever voted for but I do not agree with anyone who tries to hurt a party nominee. I've always felt the Republican party does a stand up job at destroying their own candidates.

I bet the Republican party has been pushing for him to look into Romney since he is technically a republican. Trump seems to be not so covertly asking his supporters what they think of Romney and its like 90% NO. I hear more support for Mike Huckabee than any other republican at the current time.

Idk about Rudy though. Can't say I know too much about him.

It would be nice if Trump didn't surround himself with guys who will kiss his ass 24/7.

Guiliani? Oh cripes....he is a terrible choice. No persons who were complicit in 911 should have ANY consideration for a spot.

Neocons GTFO - this includes John Bolton.

Mitt Romney is not a great choice.

Keep globalists out of your cabinet, DT.

This is what I want to see

Notably, Trump met with John Allison yesterday, the former CEO of the bank BB&T and of the libertarian think tank the Cato Institute. While running the the Cato Institute, Allison wrote a paper in support of abolishing the Fed. Allison said his “long-term ambition” for monetary policy “would be to get rid of the Federal Reserve and get back to a private banking system.” The Fed is “a scary organization because there’s no control,” he said.

“I would get rid of the Federal Reserve because the volatility in the economy is primarily caused by the Fed,”

“When the Fed is radically changing the money supply, distorting interest rates, and over-regulating the financial sector, it makes rational economic calculation difficult,”

“Markets do form bubbles, but the Fed makes them worse.”

Allison also suggested that the government’s practice of insuring bank deposits up to $250,000 should be abolished and the US should go back to a banking system backed by “a market standard such as gold.”

I'm surprised that more people arent absolutely furious upon finding out how the US monetary system works...

Citizens should all demand the end of the federal reserve system, it is directly thieving money from you.

I can't say I like either of them.

As a born and (mostly) raised New Yorker, though, I despise Giuliani. So I guess I'd say Romney. But I don't know if it's wise to go with a Secretary of State who refused to endorse you, and kind of seems to hate you. I feel like it's a job where a low level of animosity between him and the President would be for the best.
