it could just be a get together and a recap on what has happened in the world.

Nah the PV details suggests something entirely different. Some reason I'm having this feeling that Lelouch will be kept faraway from Suzaku and everyone else. Basically him and C.C. will probably be handling their own thing related to Geass perhaps? While Suzaku and everyone else will be handling whatever havoc is going on. To me it's playing safe if they keep Lelouch hidden from the world over there.

The PV had a part with Suzaku in his Rounds uniform jumping off of a motorbike.

I'm so curious as to what that's about.

Also, he looked SO GOOD jumping around in the Zero costume.

Suzaku is just so hot, and anything more with him is good. Same with Lelouch. Lelouch is flawlessly gorgeous. But there was like none of him in the PV.

But in any case, male fanservice is the popular thing now, so there will probably be lots of it. I can't wait.

His face looked pretty clearly like he died. Like he was legitimately dead.

Nevertheless, a ton of people keep saying that it's sooo obvious he survived.

The writers made an official statement that he was dead... but it's true that they might have just wanted done with the whole thing.

There's a commonly spread myth that there's some secret bonus scene in Japan that those evil dubbers deleted (remember the fansub era?) that shows that the driver of the cart that C.C. was in in the end was actually Lelouch. Every time this clip has "surfaced", it's been a badly made fake.
Now real spoiler talk:

Also, the title implies that he comes back from the dead which... sort of means he was dead. Yes, it might be figurative, but the point is that it isn't confirmed that he survived, just because he's in the new series. Nothing's more confirmed either way than before they announced it.

A character in Akito has a... power - I wouldn't quite call it a geass, it's something else - that seems like it bends time and space, and time travels, and it does mess with life and death somewhat. The ending of Akito was... interesting, let's say.
But it's not clear if characters in Akito will have anything to do with this new thing. (Though... given what they said about that character's place in the world... it would be sort of weird if they didn't).

Seriously, why won't they make Nightmare of Nunnally an anime series? Or Blackness of Renya?

That brings to mind a "discussion" I had with a certain user on the Funimation forums (before they went offline back in the summer) who used "Goku" as part of his user name. He was completely sold on that, even when I brought up how easily that was to fake, that none of the videos that could be found were from near the time the series aired, or that those of us watching fansubs at that time didn't see that scene then.

Frankly, I'm glad their forums are still offline at the moment, as I'm sure he would be citing this announcement as further "proof" that video was real.

Please confirm with me:

Was Code Geass R1 and R2 used to be here on CR? I remembered watching both seasons on here, but can't find them on CR now.

Yes. But they got removed a long time ago along with a lot of other Bandai shows. It's how Funimation was able to license it later.

This right here was a perfect ending the main ship was together in the end and all's well the ends well but I guess they kept receiving questions about a third season. Maybe Lelouch is being forced to come back because something more powerful then the empire has appeared that is a higher form of Geass. Think about it someone could of been hiding/waiting for the emperor to fall and his family line to die off. Pretty much everyone other then Lelouch and his older brother didn't really have the mindset to think ahead not that I'm saying their easy pickings. Either way I'm kinda glad another season is coming up that ending for the 2nd season I saw dubbed actually infuriated me but i could still kinda understand why he did it wonder why they cut this one out. As for the shut up witch part I think that was photo shopped unfortunately everything was right about until that part they did however show his smile but not his eyes from what I saw.

Not exactly if you read into the reasons people think he is still alive or would come back alot of good reasons were made.

Theories that Charles may have given Lelouch the code are possible.

--------

" If he somehow obtained immortality, that would also explain how he managed to survive."

A heavy fan based theory for years is that he actually was given Charles immortality code

Hence the reason as to why the show is called "Code Geass."

There was no smile at the end, that was just a fan made thing.

Ahhhh those threads. ^_^; I felt bad for him but I kept worrying that I was encouraging him too much... (I was Fiammetta on there btw, the one who talks about Geass and K too much. Hi.)

Important thing: C.C./Lelouch is not canon. It's actually officially stated that they don't see each other that way.

I mean, the writers might go back and decide they want them together now, but there's like... no chemistry between them at all, romantically at least, in the original series.

. . . . for every 10 pictures/suggestive lines/ meaningful looks/etc. putting him with C.C., there are like 5 putting him with Kallen and 20 putting him with Suzaku. And maybe one putting him with Shirley (the only person he canonically dated) or Euphemia (the only person he canonically had romantic feelings for).

Edit: Happy Birthday Lulu!

Where the article that the writers said they weren't canon??? Not trying to pick a argument I'm just curious I mean one of the things Code Geass was good at was making good complex relationships which I actually enjoyed. He never dated Shirley at all did he? As with Kallen he cared for her as a close friend but he didn't really see her as a lover.
