I buy pre-order and buy used games and if they sell the games I like for less than $20, that Amazon sells at a higher price. If it's the same price as everywhere else then I just go to gamestop.

personally i'm not a fan of digital

Neither am I, for most things. I don't mind purchasing something digital if the price is right. Nowadays, even when you purchase a physical copy of the game, you still have to wait for the installation and the download of any additional patches. So downloading a game you've purchased digitally allows the same amount of "wait to play" logic as long as you have a reasonable Internet connection.

I know people who live and swear by the "digital life". They don't like going to a brick and mortar shop, they hate to wait for online orders to arrive, so they just purchase it digitally and set their console to download it automatically when it's released (same goes for the PC).

I like having some physical medium for games. If PSN ever shut down (for whatever reason), I'd have no issues playing about 96% of the games that I own (other than the free PS+ games, which I don't include as me "owning" them). That's what keeps me purchasing physical versions of most games. The Black Friday sale that Sony had done convinced me to purchase about 4 games, digitally. But four games for less than the price of one? Yeah, I'm not worried about it.

those gamers probably are the ones who will leave their system on 24/7

the price of internet is not getting any cheaper.. the speed is the same but the price increased 2x this year from my provider

4K movie and gaming?

right now they only have upscaled ps4 games -- native 4K games? how large those games will be ? 100GB- 200GB in size? there's also a data cap on your internet connection

The PS4 can only support up to 2TB HDD 2.5 internally.. if you are going higher you will need an external adapter of sort.. since over 2TB the drive will become thicker (for now that is)

we have 2TB and 4TB SSD now so .. it's only the matter of time.

**i heard that with firmware 3.5 or something. they increased the support for 4TB harddrive .. though sony didn't announce it officially though

I saw the black friday sale on the PS store-- nothing worth buying for me.

Titanfall 2 $28
Battlefield 1 $27
Rise of Tombraider $20 Anniversary edition $35

they can't beat those prices

i missed out on the witcher complete collection for $25..

Gamestop has better deals-- but the thing is these retailers will not price match the competitors' prices between black friday and cybermonday-- even from their own website! (confirmed this in person with a bestbuy clerk)

by Tuesday all the prices are back to normal

i got a good laugh when looking at the prices listed here-- interesting how digital is always full price

I am not surprised, it's Sony. Their implementation of digital distribution sucks (to be fair MS isn't any better). Their policies for digital sales are archaic at best and their CDN is slow that or their consoles can't download quickly.

I buy almost all of them from Steam. Once in a while I'd buy a 3DS game from them but only because there's a store two blocks away from where I live so returns are less of a hassle if something goes wrong.

It's a nice place to drop by from time to time to see what's new, but I don't shop there exclusively.

It's always been a mix for me when it comes to purchasing games. Some from EB, a few from Amazon (LE pre-orders usually), there's PSN , Steam, and a random few from private sellers on Craigslist and similar sites.

when games are DIGITAL ONLY-- i'll not bother with it-- i'll get a new hobby

since these companies have a monopoly on the price of digital games-- unless we have more retailers who will sell these digtal games and willing to lower the price as quickly and often like they are physical games.

Sony's Flash Sales-- when compare the price of games they are offering during these flash sales-- it's either too high or the price the physical copy had been dropped to more months!!
