Posted 10 days ago , edited 9 days ago
Election filing deadlines for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

NOVEMBER 17

No later than 5:00 P.M . on this day, the SECRETARY OF THE COMMONWEALTH must issue an order for a recount or re-canvass if it is determined, based on the unofficial returns submitted by the county boards of elections, that a statewide candidate or ballot question that appeared on the ballot in every election district throughout the Commonwealth was defeated by a margin of 1 percent or less.

NOVEMBER 23

Last day on which a recount
or re-canvass ordered by the SECRETARY OF THE COMMONWEALTH can be scheduled to begin.

NOVEMBER 28

On this day, candidates receiving tie votes at the election shall cast lots at 12 Noon before the SECRETARY OF THE COMMONWEALTH or the county boards of elections, as the case may be, to determine the winner. (If the fact of the tie vote is not authoritatively determined until after November 23, the time for casting lots will be 12 Noon on the second day after the fact of such tie is determined.)

Sorry idiot-plant Stein, you are too late.

Bottom line is - initiation of a recount in PA, at this point, would be illegal.

She is trying to get people send in signed affidavits to get the vote recounted.

Your correct.

But in all honesty who cares if they recount, just recount all states. If Trump won the electoral college which I personally believe he did then nothing changes. He lost and will still loose the popular vote and he'll just have to get over that.

Hilary already conceded its time to put this in the rear view mirror for both parties. We get at least 4 years of President Trump, and the first 2 years republican majorities, hopefully they can actually debate and vote on things which is why we elect them, that's what I'm waiting to see.

Lets be fair on this, both sides are being ridiculous in their accusations.

the woman didn't even get pass 2-3% of the votes

and who will pay for the recount?

stop wasting people's hard earned tax dollars!!

if you are going to recount.. might as well check how many voters are not US citizen, voted more than once or already dead

it will be the biggest scandal of the century

she's just bilking hillary donors for recount money

but really, if you wind up getting around to seeing that her donations flowed so evenly throughout the whole 24 hour cycle in the leadup to "getting enough money to pay for a recount".....~160k an hour, ever hour. anyone with half a brain can see that it was automated.

So basically all Jill Stein is doing is serving the purpose of calling for a recount, since it'd look fishy if hillary tried to call for a recount, especially after conceding the election.

Who contests a conceded election, anyway?

Who does this serve, aside from Clinton?

No going to really disagree but along the same logic, who talks about election fraud in an election they won? And who other than Trump benefits from calling it a fraudulent election and not recounting?

But only one side is being ridiculous in their actions. For a campaign to instruct people to send in affidavits questioning the legitimacy of a election based on "advice from experts", going as far as telling them they'll send them the language... For a campaign that received 1% of the vote to raise more money in a week than it did from her two prior bids for the president combined...

There is a lot of sketchy stuff going on but at the end of the day she expanded the audience for her message and seems to be happier with the attention than a pig in a pile of shit.

If Russia actually did hack us that would be a huge deal even if the recount doesn't get rid of Trump. And of course people are still trying to get the electorate to change it's vote while that's still possible.

Trump tweeted his out and directly said he lost the popular vote due to fraud...

Yes like he did before the election. But it's the actions, not the accusations, that annoy me.

The problem is the publicly pair riots. If they were in fact a mass cover for "after the fact" voter fraud (i.e. burning written Trump ballots or hacking computerized votes) then they get away with their scam.

All that aside, the Wisconsin laws require proof of fraud before a THIRD count is done. They already do a quick count and an official count. The states will smaller margins (the states Hillary won) are not being recounted, so justifying the recount in a state with an 80k vote lead is going to ridiculous.

This is not comparable to the 2000 election. It was a clear landslide victory.
