As for story it starts out slow and kind of lack luster. However, by the time the game ends it probably has one of the best FeelsSadMan moments I've seen in a game in a long time along with quite the plot. As for combat, as time went on I felt like it was almost inevitable that we would slowly lose most turn based games. The real time combat has it's ups at times making you feel like a badass more or less despite it being rather easy. Turn based would have probably been more challenging and in return more fun but the game is still enjoyable without it.

With as much content that FFXV has (with and without the Season Pass), I think $30 was a steal (especially if you include the Season Pass for close to the retail amount).
I've put into about, give or take, 400 hours into it so far (this is with the released episodes and the recent Comrades multiplayer system).

That feature seems weird but I guess it is a method of utilizing assets that were developed from the respective episodes (DLC).
I doubt it will bring about much difference in the storyline or progression, just a fun little method of swapping out "main" characters in terms of controls.

it would be worth it if i spent as many hours on it as you, I spent about 40 minutes on the game after paying $30 so... I have a habit of buying games and just leave them there gathering dust and by the time i got around to play it it's already $20 or under. I got the PS4 last year along with 30+ games, i played 4 of those games in the last 12 months. Bloodborne was 1st of those games i got the platinum for. It might take you 4-7 days days to beat a game while it can take me months. This is the reason why i avoid pay more than $20 a game now a day.

I don't know many rpgs where you can't switch characters so this is a long overdue update imo. I'll give the game another try after this update.

How many updates there's going to be? Switching characters, Episode Ignis as well as Ardyn-centered chapter, and two more coming. This is without a doubt the only PS4 game that takes so much space. GTA V doesn't come close. Batman: Arkham Knight, with all of its DLC added, comes close, but not quite. Thankfully, hard drives like the one below exist, so i don't have to delete anything.

"Magitek engine above us!" Is the only thing that comes to mind when thinking about FFXV. Still a good game though.

Don't forget the good ol' "I've discovered a new recipe" line from Ignis as well.

I don't know, there are some other games that take up around the same amount (or more).
Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is something like 88-90GB and each expansion is another 10-20GB
Battlefield 4 takes up 75GB with all expansions and maps.
Final Fantasy XV with the latest patch is around 95GB.

I have a 2TB internal SSD and an 8TB external connected to my PS4 Pro (same configuration for my Xbox One X).
I found out when sorting out the 8TB on the Xbox One X that it can support 2 different external drives.
Not too shabby but not something I'll need for a while.

I haven't tried the online mode yet, but I'll probably just wait for all the DLC comes out before giving it a whirl.

I've actually loved Final Fantasy XV, while it doesn't eclipse my favorites (VII & XII), it's a solid installment that improves over XIII immensely. Visually beautiful, the aesthetic and design is appealing, while the gameplay is fun, even if it suffers from a wonky camera at times.

I recently completed the things i was struggling in Episodes Gladio and Prompto: Score Attack and Time Trials.

Score Attack: It seems that there's only one to achieve 1 m points. With the guide, i nailed it after a few times. I even restarted once because i wasn't satisfied to my performance. Overall, not too hard. If you have 800k points or so before the final, you should be home safe.

Time Trial: Before i start, let me borrow something that fits it well: "This is by far the most difficult and frustrating aspect of the DLC. I won’t beat around the bush; this is a terrible addition and poorly implemented. The hit detection is extremely wonky, where the smallest rock can send you into a wild spin, and the snowmobile handles more like a tractor than a nifty machine."

I have to admit, that's what it is. It just feels that they didn't test this too much. Hit the rock and either nothing happens or you spin. Jump from one of the cliffs and you're likely to make an U-turn. That happened to me too many times.

Not only that, but the times for three stars are way too strict, meaning that you have to be perfect if you want that.

Course 1: Hard, yet i managed to get this over after about 20 attempts or so. But just barely.
Time limit: 01:12.99

Course 2: The easiest one. That's all i can say about this one. Had at least two seconds to spare.
Time limit: 01:29.99

Course 3: The hardest one. Essentially the same as Course 1 but it's night time and also has less speed shards. One thing i should mention: avoid the big jump. Just do it. It just doesn't work. I also needed at least 30 attempts or so. Mainly because of the time.
Time limit: 01:16.99

Some random things i have to mention:

- Does the game mention anything about how you get boost at the start? I thought that the only way to get that was to finish the course, but that sounds stupid. To get it, press acceleration button when 1 hits the screen.

- One time i share played the game with a friend and what happens. It may be because of the connection, but when i did that, aside the lagging, turning was bad. Even when i only needed to turn just slightly, it turns too much.

Well anyway, time trials done (never want to do those again), it time to resume the main game.
