Since we're getting Junjou, and already have Hatsukoi and even Love Stage, Super Lovers and a few other BL titles, any chance of getting a Genre tag to help search for BL specific titles? >w>

Will we be getting Junjou Romantica Season 3 as well?

They likely will at some point, given that it was a Funimation simulcast.

Seriously, STEP IT UP WITH THOSE LICENCES and do something about your latinamerican users. I don't even care if I need to watch the content with english subs, but licences, those licences always spoils the fun.

I should stop paying for this and go back to illegal downloads, besides, I only watch JoJo's nowadays.

PD: STEP IT UP WITH THE LICENCES.

deadFreak781 wrote: Regarding that, i said that in the Spanish forum and I'll say it here:

Those licenses are from third-party companies and Crunchyroll will not give a damn about them.

Putting nonsense in boldface does not make it sensible. All Crunchyroll can do in this situation is tell the Japanese licensor what MG they could give for an new contract and find out if there is interest. They may well have done that -- you have no evidence otherwise. So you have absolutely no evidence to suggest they "don't give a damn about them."

Crunchyroll will not license any of those titles outside US/Canada and Crunchyroll will not force Nozomi Entertainment to expand territories.

Crunchyroll can't "force" Nozomi Entertainment to expand their territories. Here, the argument goes from the unsupported to the just plain silly.

US/Canada are the countries CR receives more money, but that's irrelevant. Crunchyroll will get any licenses from third-party companies and they won't care about territory expansion (example: DOG DAYS 3rd, Crunchyroll didn't give a damn about that anime regarding territorial expansion and it's for Asian territories only).

This "won't care" continues to have no support for available evidence. Crunchyroll has only occasionally been able to swing additional contracts to expand territories with simulcasts. Assuming that the rights are available, it is likely that the royalties from these catalog titles that Crunchyroll can commit to will not cover the contracting costs of the Japanese rights holder, meaning that signing the contract would be a guaranteed loss of money to the Japanese rights holder.

The expansion in territories from several western licensors and the terms of the Kadokawa deal proves that Crunchyroll cares about expanding territories, and that when they can gain some leverage to get territories expanded, they will use it.

But it is unrealistic to expect Crunchyroll to spend more money on acquiring rights than Crunchyroll can earn, and it is unrealistic to expect Japanese licensors to spend more money granting rights than they can expect to earn back in royalties.

P.D.: Crunchyroll, you should prepare for the sandstorm from every Latin American user regarding your future Funi/CR announcements tomorrow.

Sandstorm is an excellent analogy: sandstorms have an ability to reduce our ability to see what is right in front of our face, but they don't accomplish anything constructive.

I'm waiting for when Kamisama Kiss is included among the titles from Funimation, and someone lodges a "none for Latin America" complaint.

Perhaps members outside the US and Canada should ignore this thread to avaoid disappointment. And is this a case for putting "US and Canada only" in the title?

I would love a tag to search for BL or at least a bishonen tag. Would also love if they added that classic Gravitation.

Certainly could ... though it would be more concise to say "New Nozomi Catalog Titles", which would imply the US/Canada only.
