But we were told that ALL of the presidents take 2,894 vacation days during their two terms.

Trump would have to pull one Carrier deal a week for the next 30 years to equal how many jobs Obama saved with the auto bailout.

But sure, Trump doing the opposite of what he said he would ( He vowed that companies would face consequences for moving jobs out of the country. Not be *rewarded* ) and only because he was reminded by a random news story he was watching:

In fact, by Trump’s own telling on Thursday, he had no plans to intervene in the Carrier case until he watched an evening news segment featuring a worker who expressed confidence that the president-elect would save the Indianapolis plant. He said his campaign vow to save the plant was “a euphemism” for other companies.

Regardless, Trump — known for his tendency to react to TV news reports — said he immediately picked up the phone and called Gregory Hayes, the chief executive of Carrier’s parent company, United Technologies.

“I said, ‘Greg, you gotta help us out here. You gotta do something,’ ” Trump recalled Thursday.

But yeah, he really gives a shit about the working class. -.-

A worker said he wanted something and Trump went and did it, even though he had no plans for it and isn't even sworn in, yet. Okay, thanks for the explanation. Most people might have a slightly different conclusion from that, I think.

So, it seems that Carrier was one company, but Ford has canceled its plans to close an auto manufacturing plant in Kentucky to move it to Mexico. That's two for two. And there are rumblings coming from the dark corners of Silicon Valley (or where ever Apple is headquartered) that there is research being done on the possibility of making iPhones in the U.S.....

He's not even president, yet....

Yeah, Trump had nothing to do with the Ford decision. Also the Carrier deal is basically government subsidized employment. You want to celebrate that?

I know you only like to watch videos, and it's fox news!

And if you feel like reading

http://money.cnn.com/2016/11/17/news/companies/ford-mexico-donald-trump/

In fact, the automaker pledged last year, in a legally binding contract with the United Auto Workers union, to invest $700 million in Louisville, where it builds the popular Ford Escape.

Why pledge 700 million if you are planning on moving?

You liberals can't stand to lose (but that's actually a good trait. Never stand for less than victory), can't stand to see that the one you spent all of your energy demonizing is actually starting to have a positive effect, even before he's taken office. Well then, let us wait and see what else shall transpire. Perhaps your wish will come true, and something bad will happen. Or perhaps, something else good will happen, and you'll have to spend energy spinning it as inconsequential... Or that he had nothing to do with that, either.

Im not even liberal (well on social issues I am), I just don't fall for the fake news I see on youtube, facebook, or any other site. I at least like there to be verifiable facts that I can research. Nice job not responding though.

You don't care what I say even though what I said was just telling you what Trump said?

How does that work exactly? If you play a clip of Trump back is it only real when its embedded on a news source you approve of but somehow tremendously realistic CGI everywhere else?

What happens if the same clip is played on both the right and the left? Do you get a nosebleed and have to lay down for a while? -.-

Obama saying that it couldn't be done. Couldn't be negotiated.... He didn't even try. He was content to let it happen. It's the goal of globalization anyhow, so why would he sabotage his own globalist schemes, to save American jobs?

Uh, dude, he saved a handful of jobs at one factory by giving the company ( which he invested in ) more government money. Meanwhile, the same company is continuing to shut down its other factories in the same area which were not graced by the PR saving face of Trump. Instead of punishing company's moving offshore he just signaled he would reward them. Plus I'll guarantee you that once this factory goes out of the spotlight and Trump's attention span they will quietly shutter it anyway a few years down the road.

Do you run down to the ocean with a bucket then celebrate how much drier you successfully made the planet? No? Well then.

I mean seriously, again, ffs he just gave a Goldman Sachs CEO the Treasury position. Trump is in this for Trump and will make money for Trump. How much of you he fucks over and how much of your global relationships and economy he damages in the process is irrelevant to Trump.

Try all that you want to detract from what Trump had just accomplished, but I'll tell you this. This is the first time that I have ever seen a president elect have such an impact even before he has been sworn into office. You have no idea how much of a chump he's made Obama look like. Obama said it could not be done, and here a couple of weeks after the election, and even before he's formed his cabinet, Trump has started to get stuff done. That is telling, but you go and ignore that. I know you will find a way to downplay this fact, too.

....he accomplished nothing except some good PR and only to people who swallow it. You know this was the first thing Obama looked into when he first took office as well, right? And that resulted in 1.2 million jobs saved? And that Carrier is still shutting down other plants?

As for his cabinet.....come on dude. Even in la la spin room land there is no way you can say his cabinet is shaping up well. Its the complete antithesis to every reason given to vote for Trump in the first place. So unless you've changed all of your positions as to why you support him to the complete opposite?
