i'm talking about what you WANT and not what you NEED here.

for the things that i want but don't need-- i'll put those things on the list and buy them when they are on sale

I got most of those things online during Black Friday

I consider myself a cheapskate in this way.. but I met people who are at the master level compare to me

Time is money after all.. personally i don't see the point of wasting all that time for a few bucks.

I'm referring to people who returned an item they bought online just because there was another retailer selling the same items later for $2-$3 less

I try to wait until they're on sale unless I really really want them right away. I always check for prices on newegg, ebay, and other competitors whenever I buy stuff from Best Buy. They do price match and I've saved anywhere from $20 to $60 each on different items before.

No. Well not often at least.
For reference my steam account has 115 games and probably fewer than 5/115 were full price.

I'd look around first and see which retailer offers it for less even at full price.

I hate Black Friday sales. It brings out the worst in people.

The sort of things I want simply do not go on sale, by and large.

Sometimes sales can be a scam. I don't go crazy to spend just because sales are around. I'll only go for the odd sale item occasionally.

In theory. But coupons are a beautiful thing.

Sales can be pretty damn bad for your wallet. So, I prefer to pay full price on one product than to do what I did on the last sales from numerous editors and spend like crazy. I bought around 32 books. Never in my life have I spent so much on books in a spam of one week. I surely DO spend a lot on books, but it was ridiculous. Usually sales make you buy more than normally you would. So, I can say that I am not very confident on only buying on sales. I do both frequently, but I am not all that crazy about sales. BUT, this year I went full wreak-havoc.

no. If there's something i want and it is at a reasonable price i'm probably gonna buy it even if its not on sale. except for cellphones, tv, computers, etc. that are more expensive than other things.

If I really, really want it and it's not super expensive. $100 for something is no big deal. I won't beat myself up later if I find out it goes on sale for 80.

I wouldn't say that I'm partial to buying things on sale. I mean, in the sense that I'll wait diligently for something to go on sale before buying it - I can't say that's true. I buy most games the first day they're out (other than those I'm a bit skeptical of). Technology, I tend to buy after the first array of reviews are out (like Google Home, for example). But, I don't wait for sales to hit before purchasing anything. I will purchase more things when they're on sale en masse (example: purchased about 40 different video games throughout Black Friday/Cyber Monday).

I generally buy things when I like them or see them if I have the money. Unless it's Steam, then I wait for holiday sales.

I try to always get at least 40-45% off for non-necessities. Even with necessities I shop for best value before buying.

Evidently. Some things simply aren't going to go on sale that I want. I make an occasional splurge. That's ok.
