Hi all,

I was wondering if Crunchyroll had any plans at this time to allow offline video playing . Amazon video has this service and recently Netflix now has this feature. You can allow users with premium or premium+ to download anime and watch it on the go. As someone who is constantly in public transportation, I believe this to be a great feature for Crunchyroll and their fans. Have a great day!

I've moved this over to the Suggestions/Feedback forum. (Advice, Info, Recommendations is intended for requesting info from other users that typically is not specific to the Crunchyroll site or services.)

I think I read something in Site News a little while ago suggesting that at some point in time download to own might become an option, but I might be misremembering. But that's not the same as just being able to temporarily download a few episodes of simulcasts as part of your regular subscription price.

ETA: found it: /forumtopic-965101/crunchyroll-and-funimation-partnership-announcement

Finally, we will be working together to distribute Crunchyroll titles through Blu-ray, DVD, and Download-to-Own, both dubbed and subbed. Currently planned titles include Ace Attorney, Alderamin on the Sky, Bungo Stray Dogs, JOKER GAME, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and ReLIFE, with more to be announced in the future, so stay tuned for announcements on availability and street dates.

I would expect those DTO options to go through distributors like the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Marketplace, and not directly through CR.
