The real question happens to be: is it really worthy from a monetary standpoint to advertise on such a lowbrow site in the first place?

I don't like corporations getting involved in politics. I don't like it at all. They should have remained neutral, and just focused on making cereal, profits, and cereal TV commercials. Now, I've just become a 100% Post cereal buyer.

If a company/corporation wants to make a political statement, then I - as a consumer - will also make a political statement, and boycott Kellogs, until it realizes that corporations have no business meddling in human politics.

Ironically Deadly Oats profile picture is the icon of the company I buy most of my cereal from :P

That's my twin brother. I'm the elder, Deadly. He's the younger, Quaker....

I don't think I'd every boycott a cereal over their choice of where to advertise or not, it's moronic. Also Breitbart was pretty thrilled when members of GamerGate got companies to drop their ads for Gamasutra etc...live by the sword and all that.

^ Was thinking the same thing.

I don't buy many Kellogs products but I do know that, where I live, they're regarded as one of the best employers to work for. So I look kindly on them. In any event, I'd rather consume their products than the tripe peddled by Breitbart.

I don't eat cereal since I believe it has no nutritious value and I cut out dairy a long time ago. It isn't the same with Soy or Almond milk either. However, fuck it...I'll buy a box of apple jacks and just let it go stale on the top of my fridge. Way to Kelloggs.

The result of polarization; more polarization. Considering that there is, indeed, en masse boycotting being done for questionable reasons by advertisers, I do consider it relatively fair-play to do so in kind; however, it's a crock of shit to claim that Kellogs' boycotting is "un-American" while essentially doing the same damned thing. It's a two-way street, for everyone. This mess is the fault of all these self-serving ego trips of "my side is pure snow and the other guy is Hitler" bullshit.

Lets just all take a moment to appreciate the sheer hypocrisy of screaming for economic sanctions and boycotts against every country or company that slights you. Then losing your fucking mind and screaming "economic censorship" when Pop-Tarts removes its banner ads.

Pro-capitalism when it benefits you. Pro-protectionism when it doesn't. Free market indeed.

Way to take a stand guys. -.-

No, hence why they stopped. Corporations typically like broad appeal. Broad appeal means more customers. More customers means more business. Being associated with any sort of fringe political group or issue is not good business. If working with someone means losing more customers than you're gaining you're probably going to get booted to the curb. >.>

Honestly the fact that it made them this mad makes me want to start eating cereal again. Hell, I would be inclined to support any corporation that would dump moronic yellow motherfucking pundits pretending to be journalists like breitbart.

I, for one, sincerely hope the Internet starts mailing them Pop-Tarts en mass in the same vein it started emailing the Oregon militia boxes of dildos en mass.

I assume Breitbart already receives its fair share of unsolicited dildos.

I assume they receive their fair share of solicited dildos as well.
