Now before you say that "all fanfiction is terrible", I just wanted to let you know that this isn't the thread for that. I'm asking if anyone who read a lot of fanfics stumble upon a fanfic so horrid that you just want to crawl in a hole and die. This is the thread for people who read fanfiction and came across some not too pleasant works. List them down and explain a little on why it is so bad.

My Turn:

I read My Immortal for the first time and it was pretty bad. So very bad that I quit after a few chapters. I also read a little bit of Rini's Horrible Death which was just weird and messed up.

So what about you?

Enjoy!!!

Yes, on Quizilla, Deviantart, and on Fanfiction.

The two worst;

One Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfic involving two friends going through a television portal into the show. There, they spent their time usurping Anzu's role as "the main girl character" (naturally, Anzu is portrayed as pettily jealous), Mai is treated similarly to Anzu, sleeping with most of the male cast on a dime, somehow integral the plot for several major plotlines, and otherwise being unnecessarily revered. This fanfic is an obvious self-insert power fantasy by the writer(s).

The second fanfic has two character arcs. The first arc is an Inuyasha fanfic, involving a made-up twin of Kagome who is handled like some sort of "improved version" of Kagome in nearly every aspect. Somehow, this chick has the power to go through the well, and is soon desired by both Naraku and Sesshomaru. She and Sesshomaru fall for each other, but she gets kidnapped and raped by Naraku. Some drama goes down, Naraku is killed, and she and Sesshomaru have a kid together. The first arc actually isn't all that bad, but then the second arc flushes most any positive aspects down the toilet. This arc is all about the daughter, and can be broken down further into two arcs. The first involves the half-demon girl somehow being transported into Narnia as part of a prophecy to help bring down the White Witch. The importance of the Four Children is entirely undermined, and overshadowed. Of course, she's loaded with half-demon powers that make her the most powerful humanoid character, even compared to the White Witch. The daughter hogs the limelight wherever she goes and a romance with Peter develops. This romance is interrupted by the half-demon being transported to the Harry Potter world. Around the Goblet of Fire story, I believe. Once again, the chick is super-important, and there's drama circulating around her feeling like she's betraying Peter by falling for Harry. I couldn't stand reading any more, so I don't know how it ends. Once again; these two fanfic arcs are ego trips, more so the daughter's story than the mother's.

Overall, I really can't stand Mary-sues and when the integrity of the host-world's plotlines are screwed over.

Like how Disney left it to Jar Jar Abrams to direct Episode 7 of Star Wars.

No, but I've only ever read one and it was a fanfic my teacher wrote about StarWars. Infact all her exams were based on it.

Additionally, everything in the classroom was starwars based; all the games in the cupboard, the wall decals, the life size cut-out of Anakin SkyWalker and C-3PO. She would often go as far as quoting the movies and books. Ms. Salemi was a cool teacher.

Hmm now that i'm nostalgia stricken; what else do i remember about her?
Let's see, she....

- Liked Kenny G
- Learned to speak fluent Russian
- Was friends with an Admirals team member, i beleive she either had him as a foriegn exchange student or tutored him.
- Always chewed gum
- Would often stand with hands in pockets rolling both her feet inward.

Ms.Salemi was such a quirky person and while I never put much thought into it back then; I love people like that.
I wish I had more stars that shined so brightly in my life...
