Oh please. How hard do you think it is to find a random example of a Trump supporter being horrible to a Democrat? It would take me less than a minute.

The problem is that this is not just one or two incidents it is happening in MASS! It happens so much we all just kind of ignore it but its happening non-stop and even the mods are in on it. If you go to certain subs you can be auto-banned because you posted in https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/ once.

I literally avoid certain places because I will get auto-banned and if its done enough it would be easy to have my account permanently deleted, even if I am not posting anything political. It's like having a gold star placed on you where ever you go...

Vice versa is also true. Political discussion has turned so toxic since this election that at work and in public I feign apathy bc I don't feel like putting up with it anymore. People cannot discuss politics without feeling they are personally being attacked for a difference in political views.

Oh and this is from the guy that would have been vice president if Hillary had won:

The attacker drove a car through students and stabbed them. An officer shot the guy while he was assaulting people.

Ugh Kaine, easily one of the biggest morons in modern US politics. No how idea how he got the VP slot on the ticket over somebody with some common sense and charisma like Sanders...

Both sides are terrible to each other online. There isn't any real metric of comparison, but from my own reading it seems both sides can be equally nasty. Trump won after all. It's not like you guys are a repressed minority.

I'm a Trump supporter, but I am not as vocal about it as many (mostly bc I live in a "tolerant" blue state)
That being said I still stay out of it, any political "debate" I see off the internet is definitely not something I wished to be involved in. Devolves into to swearing, name calling and throwing people into groups solely based on who they voted for and entirely neglects the reason why they supported said Candidate.

Agreed, hostile partisanship and biased media on both sides has created a great divide.
That being said the difference between online and offline is that here we are just random people behind an avatar and don't have to run into each other on a daily basis so the consequences are nowhere near the same.

In my experience, it's never worth having a debate against people unless they're either intellectually honest or their opinion is on the fence or close to the fence. Otherwise you might as well be trying to teach a cat the core concepts of quantum physics.

Nowadays there's so much political bias on both sides that it makes most people not want to have anything to do with politics, or really anything controversial.

I know how. You won't like the reason because it just adds up to more Hillary being corrupt.

Tim Kaine was previously the head of the DNC. He resigned and his successor was Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who was Hillary's campaign manager in her 2008 bid for the presidency and as we know was deeply tilting the scales against Sanders in the Democrat primary. So the theory goes Kaine resigned as DNC head after being promised a top job in the future Hillary presidency allowing Wasserman-Schultz to take over and rig the primary.

I don't have anything to back this up, but Kaine suddenly resigning as DNC head to allow Wasserman-Schultz in who then rigged the election seems very fishy and given what we know of the internal workings of the DNC and the Hillary campaign from WikiLeaks would have been pretty standard fare for them.

For the longest time, I've always viewed myself as a liberal/left. But each and every day, I'm horribly ashamed of how far left some of these nutcases are, and they try to bend the entire world just to benefit just a very small minority.

I mean, when parts of Canada try to remove the terms 'mother' and 'father' from legal documents just to make some LGBT members feel like they are not being discriminated.http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-mpps-approve-motion-to-remove-words-mother-father-from-government-forms-1.3241962
or when Sweden tries to do 'gender-equal' snow plowing in stockholm by plowing the sidewalks, daycares and schools first instead of the main roads. http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/11/14/gender-equal-snow-removal-policy/

So much cringe. I'm still for equal rights and just being a generally nice person, but sometimes, I wonder if I should campaign for selective sterilization of individuals who can't score high enough on an IQ test. (Thank god a test for general human kindness is not exactly a thing. I hope...)
