and i could never figure out why you need the head if the controls are inthe chest.

because as seen in various gundam series...mostly in Seed/Destiny machine gun turrets can be place in the head also..and also the pilot can change cockpit view to feed in images projecting from the head..and plus it looks cool

I guess mainly coz it looks cool and no for the view coz you can have sort of extendable telescope like in a submarine otherwise.

lol ur living in the past..no jk jk...u dont need those "telescope" things...due to the advancement in technology..it can digitally transfer the data to the screen that the pilot uses to look around from inside the suit. the head is much more important than u think..thats wher it can process the data it receives from the environment and send it to the pilot .....kinda like a brain i guess

I know, but I prefer the TitnTin version where the sub sinks if you foget to lower the periscope (I finally think I got the word right). Still a big gundam is too annoying.

A full-scale Gundam robot is one thing, but how much would it actually cost to build one that could actually walk? According to an estimate published on the SciencePortal website run by the Japan Science and Technology Agency, the total cost for parts alone would be $725,000,000. That figure would not include labor, fancy weaponry, or any flying capabilities. The whole shebang would be powered by and IBM Blue Gene supercomputer and 30 giant 400KW motors.

Taking a look at the materials list, I have a hard time believing that this would actually work if it were built. And, in all likelihood, the parts would cost significantly more than the estimates. So, it appears that Gundam fans will have to wait a little while longer to get their own 60 foot robot killing machine.

Wat do u guys think?

dang you got everything planned huh?lol

this one cant even fly. and weapon cost didnt get calculated too

flying comes later..it needs to be applicable in terrestrial environment first..before it goes in the sky or space or underwater

then again if a gundam can save, it can kill even more!!! o.O
look at all the gundam animes...in all of them, gundams always start the problems...or worsen them...and they try to fix their mistake and that starts a war...=.=

you could make one, but the costs would be far too high, it would be extremely ineffective in actual combat, numerous advances in programming and engineering would be required and it would be near impossible to use. not to mention the energy consumption would be through the roof.

Well, we might build one in the future. But I don't think we could now!!!

hv u seen the ''super robots'' that already exists?
they r a pity

yes but if u wer living 2000 years ago and proposed something like a car..they would think ur crazy...new technologies and scientific innovations are made possible because of imagination..without it we'll still b like cavemen..and plus robotic technology has just begun....it takes years of research and testing to develop it so dont go around saying we're crazy...ppl thought einstein was crazy..turns out he was a genius and his predictions wer correct

yeah i agree im an electrical engineering practitioner and i heard in china and germany some companies there are developing motors ang genrators that super efficient and maybe if we just combine the ideas we can be more nearer in developing gundams heheheh hoping.....

Japan and the U.S. is building the Anti-Missile Shield right now. Besides I doubt Gundams would be made. If they wanna build these kind of stuff why not spend it on like space colony?

actually they r planning stuff on space colonization..i think in 2011 thier launching a mission to mars again..and this time thier gona try to make the mars environment more earth like by dispersing methan gas..they can make a similar atmosphere..and blah blah i read about it somwher..but yea like i said thier already planning colonization elsewher in the solar system

Yeah, but it doesn't matter anyway.... Sun will last for another 4~5 billion years and before then I think human will be destroyed by their own mistake already.

yup even israel developing the patriot anti missile but in space it is reasonavble if we use gundams because in space we can use it as our bulldozers and construction equipment like in the animes because theres no gravity in space so its impractical to use bulldozers and heavy equipment heheheh

yea man..weeks of research...i really think its possible..mayb not to the effeciency found in the gundam series but almost there...

why it doesnt matter huh??? ofcourse it matters because here on earth we are over populated and we over polluted our planet thats why we humans must start to develop technology like gumdams and colonizing projects so that we can save our race in impending desaster hehehe
