Title: When is coddling too much?

What do you think of coddling children? Is it the wrong thing to do or right? Were you coddled as a child? Are the kids of today coddled or no? What do you think?

Enjoy!!!

If the kid can't function on their own then they're being coddled way too much.

i work with children

I can see how that would be a nuisance.

Don't put children in water maintained at just below boiling. Don't give in to their wanton and irresponsible demands, even or especially when ill.

ya coddling is bad but at the same time a lack of positive interaction with your child is probably just as bad as well. so parents need to form a balance which i think many have a hard time doing now a days. ether the parents are overprotective of their kids not allowing them to do pretty much anything without supervision or such making a big deal over a minor cut or bruise. or the reverse in that both parents don't give their kids enough attention for example both parents are full time workers who usually have a hard time making time for their kids. both i think are examples of bad parenting in some cases i would even call it a form of abuse. that some people don't really usually consider a form of bad parenting when it is. and in someways some of the problems it seems that are around now a days is a result of that i would say.
