Evening / Afternoon All,

The last two anime advertisement emails I received show anime that I cannot find within the Crunchyroll anime list?

For example; A Certain Scientific Railgun. First Anime advertised on the email.

I primarily use AppleTV to stream Crunchyroll, I have searched on their and my phone Crunchyroll App. and have not had any success.

Are there region locked anime? or do I have to remove some kind of cache? or do I have to have another level of premium above the one I am paying for now?

Many thanks in advance for responses.

yes, some anime series are region-locked, though you may still receive ads for said anime.

edit: also, sometimes anime series may be removed because the license expired. you might still receive ads for said anime regardless.
and no, you can't tell if or when a given series will be removed from CR. any series can expire at any time, with no prior warning.

I've moved this over to the Site Support / Minor Questions forum.

Yes, you may receive email advertising shows which are not available in your region.

Here are links to the two most recent Site News threads announcing new catalog titles and what regions they are available in:

/forumtopic-974205/unwrapping-the-holidays-more-catalog-titles-each-week - This one includes the Railgun announcement--it's just US and Canada. In fact most of these announcements from the Funi partnership are likely to be mostly US and Canada only (or adding right for US and Canada for show CR already had available in other regions) since that had been primarily where Funimation got received licenses for.

I hope that when Winter and Spring season comes, Finland is also included but doubt that Finland is also included.

Currently every other nordic countries get some funi titles except Finland. Well I can always hope but these licencing stuff is really complicated.

The contract might specify "Scandinavia" rather than "Nordic countries". By definition Finland is not part of the former.
It could also just be a listing of countries deemed as "consuming English-language content" by the publishers, basically selected arbitrarily.
