Ever lose interest in things you've liked before?
Posted 12/4/16 , edited 12/15/16
Like the title says, ever loved doing something so much but just one day you wake up and you can't do it anymore?

For example a couple years back I would be ecstatic when a new episode of an anime was released but now I'm just like 'ok cool'
Same with games, or even hanging out with friends.

Would like to hear your guy's thoughts on this or any stories if you have any.

Gaming, I used to play videogames all the time. Now I barely play at all. The market started becoming saturated with low quality clones of everything and I was also getting tired of all the unfinished games being released.

I may play a few a year but when I do; they're high quality.

I think that's a thing that comes with growing up or just getting older.
You start to like things you never liked and start to loose interest in some things you liked haha

This is my very same response to this thread, couldn't have said it any better myself. I rarely play games because of this very same reason.

Well I lost interest in a lot of things around the start of 2014 and gained a lot of interests (Long story)

Recently it was games like CS:GO and League of Legends. While I'm pretty good at league and ok at CS:GO I don't enjoy them anymore. It was around like 6 months ago I lost interest and any fun in it. It became just a time waste to do it so I quit them.

I have a lot more but I don't feel like listing them for the moment.

I became interested in sports in 12th grade and watched the local pro teams. Five years later I needed to watch a few games to be excited to see more. A year later I couldn't care less about pro sports again.

I lost interest in listening to horror stories recently.

I used to have a lot of fun listening to them but nowadays they don't really scare me, I think I became immune to them.

Honestly, i've lost interest in watching most new animes currently being aired or recently published in the past 3 years. Now i just read new and old manga, since there is more variety.

I used to be a fan of the Big 3 Fox animated series which were The Simpsons, Family Guy, and I believe American Dad. But since 2011 I lost interest for those series, especially for Family Guy. I sometimes think to myself: "Why did I enjoy this previous? Why did I wasted my time on this abomination when I could have used it for something else?" Many people think that the modern Family Guy is outrageous. I don't know since I don't watch it anymore.

Interests aren't static so they will change over time.

At one point in my life it was writing. It still feels that way somewhat. I really don't want to give up on writing which is my life.
