Amazing information. It seems that they do Chinese medicine very well, but Western medicine... not so well...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtjtdrdddCs

What amazes me is that their getting these kinds of videos out. You've got to know that some Chinese censoring agency is scrutinizing these videos for "subversive content" and the like. Yet, here they are, giving critiques that are not that complimentary in some cases... about China...

Maybe their government has started to open up on some things, over there?

Good thing I'm not a doctor lol , well in Taiwan, which is close to China, we still prefer Western medicine over Eastern ones, they are more potent. But it's not bad to add Chinese medicine into cooking, they strengthen your bone and muscle, and I think they are taken as supplements. Overall if the person is weak, Chinese medicine can be taken as a supplement, then when the person is strong enough, then the person can handle the western medicine. I went to the Chinese doctor once, even though they provided me with the Chinese medicine, they are still good at at least finding out he problem I had, semicircular canal problem, since I had it before, so they gave me an injection to flush out bodily fluid. Well I still prefer western medicine, but it's up to them to decide, I really hope they make it with the knowledge to be good doctors in China, years of experiences, skills and practices

I know someone who's very into Chinese medicine and regularly has clients, she also does acupuncture.

I don't really believe in the stuff, but it is an interesting perspective at the very least.

Chinese medicine is all just one hell of an expensive placebo. The cost typically being paid in money, health and devastating environmental impacts.

Acupuncture works for me, and so do a lot of the herbal remedies. The last time I was sick, I was still congested a couple weeks after the main symptoms were gone. Went to acupuncture and it started to clear up about an hour afterwards. It still took a couple days, but the acupuncture really helped.

I'm not well versed in Chinese medicine, but I would be surprised if there isn't something that can help with diabetes. A lot of it involves drinking herbal teas which require boiling for a couple hours, or pre made formulas (the Kan variety is good).

I've read articles where Western Doctors are encouraged to look into adding some forms of "Eastern Medicine" to their prescribed Western therapies for Eastern Asian patients, if the patients insist on it.

I mean, they have to research if there are gonna be reactions or complications to avoid harming the patient. This, the article says, is to hold the trust of the patient and to convince the patient to follow all of the doctor's instruction about following the routines of their treatment. I also read, that Eastern medicine might have benefits that could be used to substitute for Western therapies.

It was a very long time ago, at the doctor's office, that I read that while waiting for my doctor's appointment... I don't trust my memory about what I read, but it was something along those lines.

The best result that has ever come out of serious research into alternative medicine--Chinese or otherwise--is an inconclusive one. No serious research or studies have ever found alternative treatments to be effective when closely scrutinized. The placebo effect is powerful and the desire for there to be better medicine than what we have now is very real; I get it, I'm disabled myself. But magical thinking really isn't the answer.
