I have been into anime for most of my life, but I have always enjoyed reading subtitles as I cannot stand the horrors of English voice actors, which is why I love crunchyroll so much.

I now have a niece (10ish) who shares my love for anime, and I want to support her for sharing this love of anime, and want to get her something of that theme for Christmas.

I would like to get her some subscription to an anime streaming service or some DVDs of some anime I think she would like.

the problem comes in with the fact that she cannot stand reading subtitles, she only likes dubbed (guessing she just can't read fast enough or something yet)

I checked out the Funimation site, and it looks like crap, am I over reacting somehow on that or is there some magical dvds of re zero at a non-ridiculous price I can't find, or something like Erased, am I just not seeing something? is she screwed?

For streaming dubs, Funimation is the best service to have outside of maybe Netflix (though the selection of anime is less on Netflix and not everything is dubbed). If you don't like the site, they are in the process of redoing the whole site, which is almost done. So hopefully that will be better. I stopped using the site a long time ago and do all my streaming through the PS4 app which works perfectly fine.

Well if you want anime specifically aimed at girls at least one season of famous Magical Girl anime Precure has been dubbed by Saban (although annoyingly retitled "Glitter Force) It's available on disc or via netflix. Viz Media has also been re-releasing lots of Sailor Moon stuff lately so you could definitely check that out.

For stuff that isn't so female oriented I can really only recommend the stuff I watched as a kid, so try stuff like Dragonball, Gundam, Naruto, Outlaw Star, Azumanga Daioh, Ranma 1/2 and Captain Harlcok. It should be noted that I only watched the french dubs of those last two so I can't speak to the quality of the english ones.

Isn't CCS dubbed on Crunchy? That's a cute show I watched when I was a child. Sailor Moon is definitely a good one. Other ones I watched and enjoyed as a child include: Digimon, Escaflowne, Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED, Kiddy Grade, Dragon Ball, Patlabor.

Maybe get her some Miyazaki films? You can find those for some really decent prices.
