I just saw an ad with MC Hammer endorsing a product. The tag line is, "For a house as festive as Hammer. Decorate with Command Products."

I didn't know MC Hammer was still a thing...

Oh. Yeah. Here it is.

The answer is 'No. MC Hammer hasn't been a thing since 1991. Much like Vanilla Ice, people periodically resurrect his corpse to unleash a reign of hell upon the unspoken."

I knew he was doing something good for society. The feral child from the first Mad Max movie became a jeweler after all, so it makes sense for out of work musicians to find other work. I doubt he's fixing houses AS Vanilla Ice, though.

Of course he is fixing/selling houses as Vanilla Ice. His former fame is the only reason he gets any attention doing this in the first place.

Well, he started the 90's trend for rappers to write songs about nothing but themselves and how cool and edgy they were, but his were at least a little more mainstream-pop.

If you have to ask the question if someone is still relevant then it's always no.
