So, does it make sense to put ice in water that is already cold? I get that you want your water extra cold but it's already cold. What is the point of having it extra cold? I was also thinking about putting ice in my cold water but then I thought is this alright. What do you think?

sometimes I like the ice so you can chew it after. Other than that I would really prefer cold water you can drink right away.

If it's ice in cold water the temperature stays low a lot longer than just ice or just cold water by themselves.

The water can stay cold longer, and it will eventually melt into cold water, so I have extra water...it's a win-win, I believe

I like ice in most drinks. Probably because I'm so hot.

I don't like cold water.

However, if I liked very cold water it would make sense for me to put ice in already cold water to make it colder. The point is, it would please me more and there seems little harm to allowing myself such an indulgence.

So you like your water somewhat warm or cool?

Some people like to do it, but quite frankly I don't (most of the time) because it eventually waters it down

Room temperature is good, and what I mostly drink. Cool out of the tap is fine. I don't normally prefer warm or hot water but if I accidentally get a glassful of that out of the faucet because I'm not paying attention, I'll drink it.

Refrigerated seltzer water is good and I do not like it room temperature. I will add ice to room temperature seltzer water.

But pretty much, I hardly ever add ice to beverages, especially not ones that are already cold.

I think it makes sense to add ice to cold water. Sometimes cold water isn't cold enough, so then it needs ice.

I want my water 32 degrees but have just enough energy to not turn into ice yet.

Isn't it obvious
