I'll start by saying that I'm prescribed Xanax for a very legitimate reason(s) (not that I don't enjoy some illegitimate ones as well from time to time, but I'll avoid those subjects for now heh.) I don't condone illegal things, but I don't judge either.

Anyway, I think anime becomes even more intense when I take my Xanax. I've been off it for a long time and I don't take a very high dose - don't really need it. But when I take it, and have a day off, and I crank the volume up on some really good anime it makes the experience so intense.

I was just watching Fairy Tale - the show's great in general, love it, but the part's I've been watching since I woke up today have been from the Tenroujima Arc to the Eclipse portal parts. I took Xanax (and may or may not have smoked) and I've noticed it's SO much more intense. The music in Fairy Tail is awesome, and the anime really gets into gear between those arcs even compared to the earlier ones - so fun! I enjoy the crap out of my days off, heh... I've noticed this goes for pretty much all anime though - anyone else enjoy watching anime like that really loud taking the stuff? So much fun.

I wish Xanax weren't so habit forming or I'd probably get a bigger prescription, but I don't like taking too much of the stuff, memory loss, lashing out too easily, etc - once you've been taking it awhile it starts to work a little differently and that's time to take a break, imo. Prescriptions can be pretty dangerous some I'm not condoning illegitimate use here - the people that are going to are going to but be careful with them. Drugs from your doctor can definitely be a lot more dangerous than drugs from a dealer, sadly, since they outlaw so many natural things... but that's another post for some other time, I gotta get back to a little more anime or some gaming. Carpe Diem

+++EDIT+++
This anime has such great voice acting, Fairy Tail is so dramatic, they do a great job, the whole cast really.

Speaking from experience, I never experienced a high from xanax. It sounds like you are doing a couple of things that could affect your health, and I strongly advise you see a doctor soon. It's not too late to enroll in a health care plan through www.healthcare.gov, and they can hook you up with comprehensive medical coverage for mental health and they can even figure out if you qualify for subsidies. My advice, sign up now!!!!

Second, doctors are very hesitant to prescribe xanax anymore, if you have a doctor that is still giving your prescriptions for xanax, then I would question their professionalism. If you are on xanax, it means you have an anxiety disorder, and there are far better solutions with less addictive consequences, don't skip out on finding a doctor, right now medical care is more affordable than it had been five years ago, and if you get signed up with health insurance through the healthcare.gov website you can avoid some serious medical problems that can arise from xanax abuse.

Only time I was on xanax was when I was having major anxiety (panic attack disorder), and I hate it's effects. I stopped taking it and started to take natural teas and began meditations. It's really helped out more than xanax.

I'm not getting high from it - it changes my perception as it is supposed to - and allows me to get into my hobbies on a deeper level and my racing thoughts are nonexistant. Some changes to consciousness are good for you - and shouldn't be considered a high. This has nothing to do with a high.

I'm well aware of the side effects and the dangers of Xanax. I've been prescribed TONS of things like SSRI's and they messed me up worse and worse. I told the doctors that I'm not willing to experiment with such things any longer, and that benzodiazepines are the only things that can treat the anxiety attacks. I am not doing anything that endangers my health - as I am taking 2mg maximum, which is a lowish prescribed dose - I don't take it daily and I've had my bouts with addiction to other things, so I definitely know that I take it responsibly - less than prescribed, as a matter of fact. (not to mention, been on it for years)

The whole reason I get what I want is because they recognize me as responsible and knowledgeable about the prescriptions and the alternatives and how they affect my brain - as well as agree with my diagnosis of my problem - that being from the amphetamines they prescribed me for about a decade when I was a child. They try to get you to things that are less habit forming, because a lot of people have problems controlling themselves - but those alternatives can ruin lives. It doesn't matter what doctor you go to - you should definitely be reading about the medications you're prescribed for yourself so you can offer input too - a doctor needs to know the patient as much as they need to know the medications.

I'm not trying to lecture - Xanax makes me very long-winded (which I am anyway). Don't get the wrong idea - I see a regular doctor and I've been through the wringer - this IS my safe alternative - because I have self control. I'm not abusing it and I'm not even using daily - I use it for what it's prescribed for - and that's a severe general anxiety disorder.

That said, I do very much appreciate it's effects on my quality of life - as used responsibly.

...especially on days like this, days I don't have to work all damn day! :)

yeah, a lot of people can't handle Xanax and plain old don't like it - know lots of those in fact. So far for me, it's the only thing that seems to have sound effect on my anxiety. I do think that I would experiment with other medications of that nature - but I've tried a few in the past and I have not seen a lot of help from them - and still all the side effects

Xanax puts me right to sleep. I suggest something less habit forming like weed (provided it's legal in your state, of course ) it makes even crappy anime like SAO watchable for some people.

I think I've been a smoker too long for me to consider it a drug, haha. I don't smoke much - but I do like to enjoy a little sometimes when I practice my geek hobbies :p

Xanax doesn't agree with a lot of people - it happens to be (mostly) right for me, the effect it has as long as I keep myself occupied is great! If I start being lazy though - yeah it puts me to sleep too.

I've never taken Xanax but it was popular with some hippies I used to hang out with. They used it to come down easier when tripping on acid or shrooms. Also used kind of like a panic button. Need to sober up? Take some Xanax.

I've never been into pharmaceuticals. Very cautious about them since the abuse potential is so high. I experimented with lots of drugs but weed is all I really enjoy.
