Speaking PURELY in hypothetical, here.

Technically, this COULD be considered an anime post, but considering how balls deep we're about to get in hypotheticals, the fact that we're discussing multiple anime/manga, and the fact that this is more BSing than anything.... I'll leave it here and let a mod be the judge.

So, SSJ4 and the Shadow Dragon saga was the only part of GT that Akira Toriyama really played a part in. That means that somewhere deep down, he kind of approves of the SSJ4 design. Now, as far as I know, many fans enjoy the design. So, THEORETICALLY, SSGSS4 COULD happen. And if it does, you better hope Goku never reaches climax, because the universe would end up prego.... and also probably wiped out of existence.

Bringing that around to my point....

... does anyone actually believe Saitama, aka One Punch Man, would actually be able to defeat him?

My money is on the monkey.

Toriyama absolutely approves of SSJ4 and its design. He's lauded it on multiple occasions and he even drew SSJ4 Goku in his own style for the guy who came up with the design.

As for Saitama beating Goku, well Vegeta summed it up perfectly in episode 59 of Super: "A battle manga character is no match for a gag manga character!"

But, I'd pay to watch the fight, though.

Sad thing.... I mean, I'm pretty sure it's damned said....

I'd pay to watch Saitama have to hit anything TWICE to beat it.

Man, that's sobering....

Oh thank god. Given the state of GD the last few months I was fearing this would be a completely different kind of SS. >.<

Saitama was written to be a parody of all those invincible shonen protagonists. By the very nature of his character, Saitama can't lose. Not unless he literally gets written out of existence, but I bet the creator might still find a way to make Saitama survive even that.

First thing that came to mind was Super Saiyan, then I thought it since this is GD it was going to be that other SS so I came here to make a Super Saiyan joke. Joke's on me since that's what the title meant after all...
