This isn't as uncommon as you'd think for PS4/XB1 new releases around the holidays. Last year, I snagged quite a few new AAA titles just for $28-35 a piece because of similar-minded deals. It boils down to the fact that they know that people try to pad their "gaming portfolio" when they purchase a new console. You'll catch more flies with cheaper prices (honey) than you will with people holding out to purchase one or two AAA titles in the coming months. Makes it easier to pay for an army of games for a new console so you're not asking for new games in a month or two (from a parent's perspective, I would gather).

Just something i found. Whenever it's funny or not is up to you. Don't take it too seriously if you like the game.

$25 was the price for new release last year

so the games are a bit more expensive this year..

i think even at $48. the game companies can still make a profits.

so $30-ish is a good deal for us gamers :)

it's hilarious wen the physical games are low $30 when the digital version is $40-$60

i thought i can grab some digital games on the PS store this year but the deals they are having are lackluster at best

personally, digital games should be $40 on day one! since they cut out the middleman and shipping costs.. yet they are keep the 15-20% saving by keeping the games at $60.. plus they also charge taxes on digital games!

looks like FFXV will be $32 again with GCU after Christmas.. i'll get it again just in case..

...Why is there friendly fire....I managed to put all three of them in that annoying danger state. And why can't I tell the idiots to scatter when I am about to cast a spell. Gah worse companion AI ever, well not really but they are no Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite.

That being said the storyline is damn good if a bit predictable. That cliche as hell emo cunt look for Noctis and crew is getting old though. Is there dlc or or something I can do to look less like I walked out of a clearance sale for Hot Topic?

I'd recommend it. The game looks great, the open world is really nice as well, so much stuff to do like side missions, hunts, dungeons. You squads banter is great, theres alot of character in this game. Theres alot of work in this game in general, like a bunch of detail. Like the food in the game looks really, really good. Combat has a good rhythm to it, really engaging. The summons are amazing as well.

I just beat the game and its really wraps ups events in a good way. All this being said though the game does deviate from its open world and gets a bit linear, and you'll get to one chapter thats really, really bad, gameplay wise that you'll probably hate (it has a good purpose but its just too long), just stick through it.

Lmao it's not the best compared to their previous release ...
I'm just laughing cause it's practically made for the female audience since Mr. Prince and his gang are considered eye candy.

And why would that be, just cause it's a radical departure from the classic Final Fantasy formula does not make FFXV a bad game mate. It's a little easy sure but that has always been a flaw with the FF series . The series has never been difficult in the slightest unless you go way out of your way to make it so by fighting under levelled and under powered. The game play itself is smooth as silk and the controls make all the sense in the world . Combat is far more in depth then hold down B or X and the various weakness of the enemies makes the high level fights all that more enjoyable. To me it's the best parts of chess and boxing thrown together in a neat little package.

As for only being for a female audience what ya don't think bisexual and homosexual men find Noctis and Crew attractive? Besides it's hardly the first FF to have a crew composed of a single gender. I believe that honour goes to FFX-2 the game that is truly the low point in the series. FFXV however is a nice update on the series.

Really I think the only downside to this game is the need to watch a movie and a short anime series for the story to make a true impact. That and I will admit Lunafreye's English VA had a hell of a grating voice.

It's a Final Fantasy that's good for newcomers, so yeah. There's quite a bit of endgame content once you finish the main story (possibly DLC coming, too) And there's also dungeons to get new weapons, along with the added plus of free roaming the world, and customizing your Chocobo and car.

i loved the game. it's more of a western style that's made in japan as opposed to the turn based J-RPG style the rest of the games were. they're adding more to it and iv'e put 60+ hours and there's still enough in there to make me go....idk what to do next there's too many choices

Lmao, I never mentioned it was a terrible game because it made a "radical departure". You just made that assumption based on a vague statement I made. Allow me to explain my personal reasoning as to why I believe it did not top the previous FF games:

- The plot almost seems rushed and thrown together carelessly.
- Characters are not very likeable (personal opinion)
- User interface, magic system, and summoning is wonky. It's as though they're trying out some new interface which needs major improvement.
I could go on, but again, all I said was it's not the best. Never have I bashed it for diverging from its usual content.

You also took my last statement waaay too seriously. I just wanted to make a joke since it's ironic how most games sexualize women and we now have this new release where it's somewhat of a contrast. If anything, I am all for this LGBT movement, whether it be in media pertaining celebrities, movies, games or whatnot.
