Does pain easily become crippling for you, or do you just brush it off and move on?

Low pain tolerance means you can't handle much pain without becoming useless, while high pain tolerance means you can withstand a lot of pain before becoming useless from the feeling of pain.

I think I have a high pain tolerance because I've basically dealt with pain by ignoring it or waiting out the initial pain then moving on.

But it is highly subjective, so eh.

Woke up once during an operation aspirating with most of my guts opened up as well.. anything since then pales by comparison, so I guess somewhat high these days. Haven't had anything nearly so bad happen since, though, so who knows?

I really hate that question you get at the hospital, though - on a scale of one to ten, how much pain are you in? Uhhh.. if I rank this too low, you might send me home with an asprin, but it really doesn't hurt that much in my opinion, but I am at the hospital about this, so.. 4?

Somewhat high I'd say.

I just deal with it and move on.

Plus side, I'm partly titanium now on the inside, that's kind of fun

I'm sure it varies depending on whether the pain is strong enough to cause an adrenal response.

Higher-end. Thanks to the gym and always being in pain in some form or fashion.

Honestly...Low. But I make it through. Just keep pushing Yourself, daily.

I have a pretty high pain tolerance....probably due to the fact that I've been injured quite a bit.

Not really. In my case everything hurts a lot and bothers me quite a bit. For example: the other day i had to puncture one of my finguers for a blood type test. Maaaaan it hurt like hell all day long. I had to be really careful with my hand the rest of the day. Its the same with any other type of injury or pain when it comes to me.

When ya get injured as often as I do ya begin to think pain is stranger. Plus as a bonus you get to sit there all smug when the docs ask why you're not in more pain. Don't know what to say Doc it doesn't hurt can I go home now.

On the flip side I am beginning to think I may have minor nerve damage since I am pretty sure some of my injuries where meant to hurt a lot more then they did. Especially the puncture wounds and broken bones.

long long time ago one of my docs said I was such a g.d. stoic, it makes it really hard to diagnose. but I havent busted pieces of myself up in a loooong time.
