It's Christmas season, not holidays season. That's why we call them Christmas decorations.

When I was a kid, if you said "Happy Holidays", it meant Christmas and New Years.
We called winter break Christmas break.

You don't have to be christian to celebrate Christmas so stop thinking that saying "Merry Christmas" is some sort of attack on non-christians.

Or it appears that the known world is largely non-christian. I love how cute you are each and every day though Mr.Oak.

I... don't really care either way.
I say Happy Holidays because I know people who celebrate multiple holidays throughout the timespan between October 31st and January 3rd.

I grew up in a Wiccan house - nobody ever had said "Happy Solstice" to me. I'm offended and demand that they bring back Winter Solstice! There's a war against Solstice! /sarcasm

No see christmas isn't the only holiday, you don't seem to be getting the point. If I wish somebody who's jewish merry christmas, it doesn't offend them... it's just inaccurate for they don't celebrate 'christmas' specifically. I know this may be hard to fathom, but the world quite literally revolves around itself; Sadly, it does not revolve around you. I know it's heartbreaking. Maybe go to mars? Start a colony there.

The only thing that bothers me is that they're wishing me happiness in some form...I don't want that shit

I think you missed the point of what I was trying to say so I'll break it down for you:

People only started saying "Happy Holidays" as a more inclusive way of saying "Merry Christmas" (i.e. "Merry Christmas" caused "Happy Holidays").
I am not against people saying "Happy Holidays" (I never said that I was).
However, I am against people not recognizing that Christmas is not a bad thing and censoring the word "Christmas" to be more politically (and less realistically) correct.

I prefer hearing "Happy Holidays" to "Merry Christmas."

This. The ones who seem to be most offended are some people who feel that using the more inclusive "Happy Holidays" is a way of kicking their precious Christmas. When really it's just something that arose as a way of acknowledging that not everyone is Christian, not everyone celebrates Christmas, but that it's still nice to express joyful wishes.

It doesn't bother me if someone says Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. To me, it means someone still cared enough to say something in relating to a holiday that's supposed to be full of good will and happiness over the usual stress the rest of the year.

Different words, same meaning.

No. People can wish me Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa wtf ever and I'm fine with it. If they're wishing you a happy anything they're trying to friendly and if you take offense to that you're an asshole.

In my opinion.

Someone who tells me happy holidays doesn't offend me. It annoys me.

Like for instance, if I'm in Canada, and I go to the grocery store, and the cashier says happy holidays... why? You're in Canada, Merry Christmas, we have seasons.

IDK we celebrate Christmas every year in Canada. So shouldn't people get use to accepting our culture? This is what we do every year in canada. Why should we always be quick to make others happy when others can easily accept something that brings joy into our lives. Happy holidays is restricting, because of what? Religion? Fuck off. We celebrate Christmas, we have many other holidays we can celebrate.

You come to our country accept it, what's not politically correct about saying merry Christmas? I would like to know.

Merry Christmas everyone !

Religion here and religion there. I celebrate Christmas not because of a religious reason, but because it's a holiday where friends and family gather. Happy holiday or Merry Christmas, does not matter. However, Happy holidays just sounds off.

I've always loved the cards that said, "Season greetings", it covers everything from the beginning of winter all right up to the new year. That way I could get away with not having to meet that 21st of December deadline for posting cards before xmas

No. Because it's a catch-all, I generally offer "Happy Holidays" to people unless they've spoken first, in which case I'll parrot whatever platitude they used back at them, "Merry Christmas," "Happy Hanukkah," "Go ---- Yourself," etc.

I often like to say "Gesundheit" after someone tells me "seasons greetings."

I'd prefer if they don't say anything to me or even look at my general direction
