I'm not so high minded as to think that way.

IQ is meaningless unless the common sense is medium to high.

Yeah....well regarding some subjects anyways.

Yes, but it's not because I feel I'm particularly smart. I just have very little confidence in the "average person's" intelligence.

I work with a lot of very smart people, so no, I feel pretty dumb sometimes. But I do a good job at blending in.

But outside of my workplace I feel I'm mid/high average intelligence.

I've seen a lot of people claim they are smart who can't even hold a normal conversation.

If I was truly a genius I wouldn't have to learn from my mistakes.

I know I am. I also know that most people believe they are above average, so many of them are wrong.

I did, however, back in high school score high enough on the Stanford-Binet IV (giving a clue to how old I am) to qualify for Mensa.

I'm not particularly sure, but I'd say I'm closer to average intelligence than outstanding. Though I'm off the opinion that the huge majority of people have the same potential; meaning we could achieve similar results if everyone had the same drive/motivation. During high school and college, I met many who would have excelled if actually cared instead of coasted. Then, there's a few transcendent outliers like Faraday, Leibnitz, Einstein, Newton, etc.

Probably not.

My mind probably just has weirder fixations and priorities. lol

Primarily based on IQ? Definitely.
Does IQ really matter in the long-term if you don't utilize your abilities in some way or another? Not really.
Does IQ matter anyways? Not at all. It's a number on a test.

--

Based on my own perspective? No.
Does it really matter? Nope.
Does having a Master's Degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science makes me "smarter"? Not at all. Unless you know nothing about either of these fields.

I'm just some guy who does things and survives. I'll end up dying eventually.
That's good enough for me.
