http://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/new-research-appears-to-point-to-link-between-vitamin-d-and-autism/ar-AAlyye3?OCID=ansmsnnews11
Carried out by a team of researchers at The University of Queensland's Brain Institute with the Erasmus Medical Centre in The Netherlands, the study analyzed 4229 blood samples from pregnant women and their children who were taking part in the long-term "Generation R" study in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
From their analysis the team found that pregnant women with low vitamin D levels at 20 weeks' gestation were more likely to have a child with autistic traits by the age of six.

The findings add to the body of evidence that suggests a link between low vitamin D and brain growth and neurodevelopmental disorders.

well this may help with future people, which is good

Autism has a high amount of heredity--but genetics are always prone to the environment. Autism is related to a number of mutations that occur for varied--and still sought after--reasons. The study probably hasn't been replicated (making it questionable) and while possible is likely not as big of a factor as it's being made out to be. Environmental factors play a large role in genetic outcomes, but usually they're very difficult to pinpoint and even then extensively multi-factored. A good and healthy environment is simple rule of thumb to lower risk factors of poor genetic outcomes--especially in critical stages of development (in the womb and in youth).

Everything causes everything, apparently. Basically, I rarely pay mind to "scientific research" anymore.

You know. I always see autistic child signs on a couple of streets. Then I realize that those streets probably have drug addicts, or pill poppers, maybe even smokers. People who eat like shit, maybe abusive partners.

I have no clue though why there are autistic children, not even the slightest.

I have vitamin d deficiency, been struggling to get a suffice amounts even with supplements.

There is no harm in getting enough vitamin d, in fact, not having it can cause a whole load of other issues like random bone pains.
